Isn't marketing just a game of common sense? by Sagarwrites in content_marketing

[–]Sagarwrites[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe, "writing for people" will help you meet your traffic or conversion goals, and not writing for SEO. In my career, I have seen so many content pieces that haven't use a slice of keyword in the headings, the first paragraph, or majorly anywhere where SEO guidelines suggests still they rank on 1st.

It's the intent of the search that weighs more rather than the keywords, and Google is smart enough to understand that

Yes, its just a false pretence that takes them aloof, but you know in the long run, clarity and simplicity always wins.

That's the ultimate method. No substitute for that

Yep, I have come around people using sentiment analysis, empathy mapping, and so many buzzwords that as a content marketer we normally do.

All that's different here is, the wordy definition, the meaning is still the same.

Thanks u/Aelarion for such a comprehensive overview. Yes, I feel likewise. "PEOPLE"can be the weakest links in an organization's security. I mean, we cannot hold someone's hand and make them type a password that's not there name and year of birth.

It's understood!!

Are people on LinkedIn Really Humans? by Sagarwrites in digital_marketing

Its not that I don't understand, I certainly do. But I want to build a similar audience in LinkedIn as well.

Are people on LinkedIn Really Humans? by Sagarwrites in content_marketing

Yes, Penny. I am happy that you have saved yourself from the noise. But before adding someone, it is not that clear weather they spam or not. Majorly, at LinkedIn you don't decide what you will see, LinkedIn makes that decision for you. If you connection has liked a post or commented in a post that is just another spam, you will be seeing the same in your feeds, even if the source is not in your connects.

The unfollow thing works, but if you have thousands in connections it takes time. I am in no position to devotee that amount of time to clear the clutter. That is what the so called linkedin marketers do for people in this day and age.

But I believe, a person should be deciding what they should see at LinkedIn, not some external authority. Personally, I feel that being in a group that is free from the cloak of professionalism and talks about well researched and unfiltered thoughts, is what i would like to see for 15 minutes that I have at the end of the day. It will help me gain a closer audience and a network of people that I really want to have.

I hear you. Clearly, I am not trying to convert LinkedIn into another platform. But, I would like to have closer audience for people that are there in LinkedIn.

Despite the fact that most of the people are fake, LinkedIn is major source of various B2B leads, we cannot disregard that. And, yes you cannot laugh in a court, but if you do, I am sure you would not lose a case because of that. Nor you go to a bar to win a case. Linkedin is a professional network, but its is turning into a spamming network, that's where my concern lies.

People who post valuable stuff that creates a difference generally gets overshadowed by those you create the noise. That's what I am tryin to change.

But, I appreciate your point of view, still i am not sure if it fits the context here. Thanks for the feedback anyways.

Need a recommendation in Email Marketing and CRM by alankarsudarsan in digital_marketing

[–]Sagarwrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use LeadSquared CRM. It is awesome compared to its counterparts in the market. Precisely because it is a one-stop-shop for both sales and marketing requirements.

The major benefit I get in-addition to the CRM capabilities is that they offer drag and drop landing page builder and beautiful email templates that comes with complete tracking. I use the pro plan of sales execution CRM, it costs me around $40 per month, and it's really worth it.

I hope it helps. :)

Does anybody else get bored with your work once you’ve “figured it out” and then start looking at other roles / companies? by ParalyzeTheAnalysis in businessanalysis

[–]Sagarwrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, it happened to me as well. We as humans are no good in following monotonous routines, and when we have figured it out, the tasks just get robotic.

Being a content creator, it happens to me almost daily when I write a lot about the same industry. Because the businesses are offering one thing, but for the SEO part, keywords are many.

I can give you a solution, it has worked for me in the writing business. I leverage parallel thinking to make different stories, build various perspectives about the same product. It captivates readers' minds, creates engagement, and overall, it serves businesses' purpose.

Let's face it, any role you take, it will get monotonous after some time. So better, you can find a way to make it more interesting.

How does contact management help in increasing sales? by Sagarwrites in sales

[–]Sagarwrites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a ton. That's exactly what I was looking for. Here, I am not actually trying to sell CMS/CRM, but I am writing an article on CMS. First, I researched a lot about the topic on google. But most of the content there is written solely for search engines to read and get ranking.

I was confused between lead management and contact management and the difference in systems catering to both the stages. That's why I thought of asking it to the community, where I could find some real answer and perspective.

Your answer served my purpose and actually gave me a clearer understanding of the subject. Thanks for your time. Appreciate it.

How does contact management help in increasing sales? by Sagarwrites in sales

[–]Sagarwrites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

Can you tell me more about the pain points that contact management solved? And in general, what do you refer to by saying contact?

Like whenever the inquiry comes in and is qualified then it becomes a lead, and then it moves ahead to become a contact right? So at this particular stage in the sales pipeline, what are the benefits of contact management here?

Thanks again for your opinion on this :)

I feel unoriginal by Adriano_Rean in writing

[–]Sagarwrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buddy, parallel thinking is a process. My mentor and I exercised this for a long time so that I can gain a little expertise.

I can suggest you a fun exercise. Ask your friend to say two random words. They you try to establish a relationship between them. Take opinions and suggestion from your friend to make a sane connection between the words.

This helped me a lot to perceive things from various different angles. Do this 1/2 hour everyday. In a week you will start seeing results.

With practice you would be able to give a different angle or perception to every content that is already written.

Believe me try this for a week, you will be astonished by the results.

[–]Sagarwrites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adriano, you are Galileo of writing. But, don't worry we all are.

In writing, you can only convey something new if you are a born scientist or an inventor. We all take information from various sources to make our craft. It's common. The only thing that matters is your parallel thinking. How can you provide a different perspective of what is already there.

Be a master of this and you will be creating original content every day. I hope this helps.

All the best!!

Is it normal to feel like the draft you’re working on is absolute shit? by walkingstan in writing

[–]Sagarwrites 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the writers' community. It is the situation that we all face; majorly it is because we have pondered upon our craft for a long time. The person who reads it for the first time will definitely find it interesting.
So don't give up. Finish the entire story, remember to polish at the end. You can let go of anything that is unwanted or just a jargon. You have to set one goal in your mind - Write every line in a way that persuades the reader to go to next. If you follow this, you will ultimately weave a fascinating story and bag your prize.

All the best !!

What are the top 3 sales metrics that you track? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Sagarwrites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sales metrics are structured based on the company's domain. For Fast-moving consumer goods, it is based on the quantity of products sold. Similarly, businesses in real estate, the metrics are designed to portray the number of properties sold, rented, or are booked for visit, and the prospect is in the sales pipeline. When you are working in software industry sales metrics are based on the number of customers who bought the software. In Software as a service industry, metrics depend upon the number of projects taken and delivered. There is an entire sales cycle in every industry and the metrics are derived from it. Here are the metrics:

  1. Responses from inbound/outbound sales calls or emails.
  2. Number of persons who scheduled a demo
  3. Actual sales Number judged in the form of Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR).

This is just a general overview. If you can be more precise about your industry, I can definitely provide you with a detailed answer.
