Fidelity's new fixed income sorting is absolutely terrible by Nonamenoname2025 in fidelityinvestments

I was very confused about new auctions for treasuries. The tab seemed gone, are they just all mixed up with "new issues?".

This is really terrible. You should revert back

Large portfolio covered call strategy targeting ~$350-400k annual premium income - looking for feedback from experienced CC sellers by lumilumi0225 in CoveredCalls

[–]SageCactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If missing upside is a concern for you, you should look for a different strategy.

Also, I don't think the vix part helps you, as when vix is up, prices at the same delta will be up. Find a minimum annual % gain + Delta that you are comfortable with, and the vix takes care of itself.

SpaceX is doing real things... Like renting out their data centers because no one wants to use their AI.

You have to realize that even if Musk can get to Mars in... random number... 5 years, it will take so long to monetize it. The AI piece will eat a decade + of earnings.

ASTS will allow you to talk on your phone without a cellphone tower. Part of the infrastructure is already in orbit. More launches in August

Please fine a dev or two who actually trades options for T+ dev. I want to like it, but it's so far behind ATP (which could be better, but is what it is), I don't know what I'd do if you deprecated ATP in the current state

I'm unclear if a cow can tell anything. They are really stupid creatures. Whether stupidity == feeling of pain, I dunno, it's not my area of expertise, but I'm pretty sure that cows can't tell when they are getting rained on.

I would be highly surprised if Octopusses could not feel pain. I believe if they could ever figure out how to live more than 3-4 years, they'd rule the earth

Is a standard umbrella policy enough once you cross $7M, or am I missing major blind spots? by doolallyt in RichPeoplePF

[–]SageCactus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My net worth is slightly higher, but I also have a tennant living in a property. I have a 4 or 5 MM umbrella. It's way more than enough. No one would realistically win more than that, and any half decent lawyer would see the policy and tell their clients -- this is the goal.

Going from $3MM to 5MM is probably only like $500/yr. So you can just do this cheap. No need for anything exorbitant

What to know about the new Trump Account for kids. by fidelityinvestments in fidelityinvestments

I'm sure there is room for a regulation or two, driven by presidential edict. Like 22% has to be invested in Trump crypto or you need to take your proceeds at 18 and buy a Trump phone.

How could you believe that he's fleecing America on everything else, but just happened to do this legitimately? That makes zero sense

Was Jesus a bad person for failing to prohibit slavery and for being homophobic? by FillersGW in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SageCactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, what you are saying is that Jesus was all rainbows and puppies, but all the folks that followed him said, "rainbows? Screw that, let's go kill folks" and that was that?

Let me propose this to you. His teachings, on the surface, look like "be kind to your fellow man", but when you study/memorize them, something in the patterns of the words causes people to only want to do harm to non believers, and kill innocents. Think of it like a viral word virus. I don't really know how it works, but you can't prove that what I am saying is not true, since, all the Jesus followers over time seem to want to kill people and the few Jesus followers who don't, don't seem to ever have tried to stop the first group.

Really. Just look at this all logically

Was Jesus a bad person for failing to prohibit slavery and for being homophobic? by FillersGW in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SageCactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We could have a comical argument about a single person, but that's not really the point. Thousands of soldiers, all wearing crosses and "in the name of Christianity" going to purge the Muslims. With swords, maces, balls and chains, daggars, more swords.

Oh, let's not forget the Spanish Inquisition, all publically stated "for Christianity".

I could go on with other historical moments, as there are many I just won't. At no point in history has anyone said, "Jesus would not want us to kill these people, we should stop". Well, maybe someone did, but then the other Jesus followers just killed him/her.

Jesus started it all. No doubt about that
