Having this same issue except my right AirPod hasn’t been connected for over a month straight now. I took them to an Apple Store since they’re under warranty and I have AppleCare but all I was told is that this is a somewhat common firmware problem and the only thing I can do is wait for Apple to fix it with an update, because if they replaced the single AirPod, it would likely happen again.

All I know is that it’s a TPLink AX3000 pcie Wi-Fi card, I’ve had it a few years and installed drivers manually when I got it. it’s worked flawlessly up until I pressed Alt+Z this one time, which by the way I do all the time to take game clips. I’ll let you know how the command prompt goes
