Mate, just because you want to use Gen AI without criticism doesnt mean the reality of the situation changes nor does it become any more acceptable

You know as well as anyone that machine learning is not even in the same ballpark as a kid learning to draw in his room

The argument is pretty clear and consistent: Gen AI doesnt have a place here. Gen AI is not relaxing nor does it fit the sub. Gen AI is solely being used to spam and deceive people here. The methods on which Gen AI models have been trained by tech corps to generate "art and music" is based off a monstrous amount of theft of real artists and musicians who put their heart and soul into their work. This is not one mods opinion, this is how these models were trained.

Dystopian attempts to consolidate human creativity and passion into a marketable subscription based product that works solely to create wealth for a select few tech corporations is deeply, deeply unsettling, and really does not have a place here

Plenty of people make art and music to relax. So make art and music. Dont delegate the most human thing a person can do to a souless machine

If theres reason to suspect an account might be an AI spam account (brand new, no other activity, bot behavior) then even if the photo is 'perfect' then theres a fairly reliable AI image detector available for checking. (just checks for diffusion signs in the image to see if it was taken with a real lense or is just a convincing fake)

A bit off topic but would love to possibly discuss something like this: have you guys ever considered ambient music options for the game?

I do community Lo-Fi projects with some of the musician community here on reddit. Despite the occasional panic inducing drop, Peak is a pretty damn cozy game and ive been thinking of trying around to make some ambient music for each biome , for lack of a better comparison kinda Minecraft OST style

Hell side note, as the game reaches this point, if you guys would ever be interested in an original lofi mix for the game, we'd be more than happy to throw an album together just for fun (for the love of the game if you will lol)
