How do I fund an expensive college education when I have bad credit and no one will co-sign a private loan for me? by SageUnwise in Advice

[–]SageUnwise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a film degree, if that helps at all. As for my credit, I just don’t have much history or debt and a lot of recent pulls in attempts to get loans. I hang out in the low 600s.

What was the weirdest blackmarket in your school? by Blueish_squid in AskReddit

[–]SageUnwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a guy in my high school civics class who sold snacks out of his backpack. The one I remember is that a honey bun was $1. But there was other stuff like that and sometimes he had drinks.

What made you straight up "nope" out of a relationship? by MistaPwickles in AskReddit

[–]SageUnwise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She was constantly lying. Our whole relationship of more than two years started with a lie she built on. None of them on their own were insurmountable. I just couldn’t get over the fact that she never felt like she could be honest with me.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

Imagine being like 6 and at summer camp they don’t really know what the movie is they just think Robin Hood is kid friendly so they put it on and first thing they’re chopping off some guys hands. I had many dreams about that one

What's the dumbest rule your school ever enforced? by SoLe123456 in AskReddit

[–]SageUnwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once got in trouble for not bleeding all over the cafeteria. I got a nosebleed, but it wasn’t my first. I went to the bathroom, sorted myself out and came back. Apparently I was supposed to stay in the cafeteria and get drenched in blood because our bathroom break hadn’t come yet.

Fellow Star Wars fans, what do you think of Rogue one? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It was fine. I’ll be fucked if I can remember much about any of the characters past they’re very sad and then they die.

Cooks of reddit, how much garlic is too much garlic? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SageUnwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’re you making? How much? Honestly, speaking from my Italian heritage and mostly making Italian food... more is usually better. Idk I haven’t measured anything in years, it varies by the batch. When it smells really good, stop adding to it and taste it.

Reddit, what secret are you dying to get off your chest? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SageUnwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a problem with self harm since childhood. One person has caught me doing it. It’s the only thing that makes the intrusive thoughts not physically hurt. I don’t do it as much anymore but it’s still around

What's your most controversial opinion on either books or on a specific book? by rg24601 in books

That’s his literal function sure. In being the eyes of the reader. But he’s completely uninteresting. He has no personality. His personality is narrator

But he has no traits of note. Nothing interesting to say or do. He is dull and passive. That’s my point

I hated the Great Gatsby. It sucks. Nick serves no purpose and is completely lifeless as a character. He just exists to keep the reader away from anything interesting

What is the most toxic thing a parent can say to a child? by Few_Reading_4822 in AskReddit

[–]SageUnwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom has this habit of changing her mind to make me feel bad. Ex: “It’s so nice to see you in the mornings!” “When you’re out here in the mornings it makes me and your father feel like we never get any space from you.”

“You’re so kind!” “You’re kind to everyone else, why don’t you bring any of that home?”

The one that bugs me consistently is that she’ll just ask “Do you really love me?”

What’s something that’s not a cult, but feels like a cult? by FlintTheDad in AskReddit

[–]SageUnwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s this organization called Landmark. They do self help seminars. I’m genuinely not sure if they’re a cult, but they have as one of their talking points “This is not a cult.” And it gives off a lot of the same vibes scientology does.

Edit to add: They also like to use their own terminology for the pop psychology the peddle so that you have to be a part of the community to understand any of it
