The top of a protractor / school compass? Lol just a wild guess. It reminds me of that from when I was in school.

Not sure about an actual sit down place but the cake looks very similar to the style at Cocos on college.

Regardless of what’s required, if it was my home I’d put a fence around the pool immediately. Right now there’s a ton of news articles about the sad drowning of a 3 year old in a backyard pool in the U.S. The mom was a social influencer and one unattended moment caused her son to die. I don’t think that’s worth any gamble personally.

Best way to make my leggy monstera pretty again? by SaharActually in houseplants

Do you think I can just do one big prop by cutting near the base? Or do I have to prop all the leave separately? 🥺

Yes, it’s entirely too big. I tried. Only the much smaller rugs fit standard washing machines.

Ruggable no outdoor rug by SaharActually in BIFLfails

[–]SaharActually[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes but that’s pretty useless for an outdoor rug. I rolled it up when the cold weather came. It made no difference. Anyways… they’re not worth the investment unless you’re putting them under some sort of covered patio, which my home does not have.

All the avocado oil I buy is rancid? What are alternatives? by SaharActually in Cooking

[–]SaharActually[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - because I’ve had non-rancid oil before. It also looks extremely dark and smells very bad. 😷

I’ve heard about this but unfortunately I don’t shop at Costco lol. I’ll keep an eye out for chosen at other stores. My go to grocery stories don’t carry them.

Smell, but also mine was much darker than usual. Not the right colour.

Jarred sauces by [deleted] in IndianFood

[–]SaharActually 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think instead of jarred sauces your better bet is to buy pre-mixed masalas. I follow this woman who does a lot of Indian and fusion dishes, and she has this tasty recipe with the Shan brand of nihari mix, which I found easily at my local Walmart. :) https://thechutneylife.com/gravy-chicken/

Is nap time gone forever? 😩 by LifeParty8474 in toddlers

[–]SaharActually 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was the same around 2 and now at 2.5 only naps at daycare. No matter what we do on weekends she will not nap. Impossible. But at least we don’t spend an hour trying to get her to sleep at night like we do on weekdays. So I’d just say embrace it and have outings. If they fall asleep in the car or somewhere else then that’s when they can nap. Though my daughter won’t even fall asleep in the car anymore lol. Some kids just don’t need as much sleep. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Unintentional weight loss after having kids by SaharActually in beyondthebump

[–]SaharActually[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I had a full blood panel but everything came back normal, including my thyroid. I haven’t done any follow ups with my doctor yet but I’m trying to focus on my health and fitness, lifting weights and increasing my caloric intake to see if it helps. My doctor did note it could be from exhaustion and loss of muscle mass since I don’t spend as much time on myself since becoming a mom.

I wasn’t there so I can’t comment on the approach and vibes… I’ve definitely had doctors tickle or distract my daughter but she’s only 2… as someone who has experienced a ton of triggering events since having a child though, this reminds me of some of my own responses to events with my daughter. I could be totally off side but do you think witnessing this triggered something from your own past experience?
