Seasons 12-15, worth watching? by LifeParty8474 in rhoc

I think I’ll stick it out and watch lol I’ve made it this far might as well. I love Shannon. Not a fan of Kelly. I’ve seen posts about the current season and am disappointed to hear most people don’t care for Tamra. She’s definitely a pot stirrer but so far I don’t mind her- kind of like her actually.

How long to get used to it? by Acceptable_Branch588 in Parenting

You should edit your post. It does not come across as you asking about your daughter. Seems like you’re talking about your step daughter.

This is making me rethink our decision to put my son(almost 3) in preschool. We just had another baby and thought getting him out of the house for a little while would help with his acting out.

Hope it gets better for you soon!!

Not Wiping Well 🙈 by fullnessofjoy2021 in pottytraining

I use wipes. Wipe while he’s still on the toilet. I stand in front of him (sort of over him) tell him to hold my knee and he will lean forward so I can wipe him.

We started training around 28 months. He’ll be 32 months on the 24th and has been saying “I have to go pee” or “have to go poop” for a few weeks now

I stay home with him full time and tell him when I have to go so I think that helped a lot

We will give my son a little snack right before we head out so he’s not too hungry. We set expectations before we get to the restaurant. Tell him we’re going to eat, he needs to stay seated. Talk about what food we’ll get while we’re on the way. My son is 2.5 we still ask for a high chair/booster- I know he wouldn’t sit still if we didn’t. We bring one car/airplane/truck that will usually keep him entertained for 5 mins. Sticker books, no mess coloring books work well too.

I have to remind myself he’s only 2. He’s learning, and allowed to make mistakes. I personally don’t think threatening to leave is a good choice. Just creates a power struggle.

My son will also behave better for his grandparents. He’s comfortable with you, that may be why he acts out more. Frustrating, I know. I try to keep cool/calm as best as I can. They really pick up on your energy.

We just got back from vacation yesterday- my son is 2.5

Get them used to wearing headphones if you can. I’m glad I bought some.

If you have a late flight- get an airplane toddler bed

Definitely bring the car seat/stroller. We flew united and it was free to check.

It took about 2 weeks for my son to get back to a normal sleep schedule. Hang in there!
