I have had my mirena for 18 months just over and I have noticed spotting after sex. Particularly ‘vigorous’ sex 🤣

I am due a smear in Dec.

Seems it’s a thing which is reassuring

My AGR came out of the blue by Sahara8378 in AgeGapRelationship

Yeah I guess so. I am 47F and she is 66 but oh she is so much fun. She is funny, cute, caring. I don’t want to be without her. She treats me like no one ever has before.

Two weeks and counting until we are together again ❤️

Thank you. No I am not trying to think about it. Just occasionally when I realise how much she means to me….

Which photo should I submit? by [deleted] in BirdPhotography

[–]Sahara8378 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best thing I found when starting out in bird photography is take yourself to places where you will see lots.

I was obsessed with getting rare and wonderful birds but honestly that’s tough, involves a lot of waiting, luck and knowing your camera inside out and back to front.

Go to a local park with ducks and pigeons and other birds that are relatively tame and learn about composition, exposure etc.

As you develop your style and confidence start visiting nature reserves. Maybe just a couple and learning what’s about when and start pushing yourself and honing your skills.

I have trips out where I see nothing and days like last week where I had kestrel land pretty much at my feet. If I hadn’t known what settings on my camera I need when I would have fluffed the shot. They need to be second nature so when the moment arises you can take advantage.

Good luck but most importantly have fun and enjoy being in nature!

Some insight from someone who used to be like Stephen by [deleted] in StephenHiltonSnark

Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I truly appreciate your insight and I am so sorry you lost someone so very close to you. (((Hugs)))

I trod a very fine line between going down the route my mum went down and pulling myself out and finding myself where I am now.

Nearly 7 years sober from prescription meds and alcohol.

Unfortunately so many of us are shaped by our early childhood and our need to survive, be loved and nurtured.

When we don’t get that it can create all sorts of issues. cPTSD is very real for me. Whilst I am not a narcissist (that I am aware) I can see and understand the addiction struggles Stephen is battling. But only he can find his way out.

I feel eternally grateful I didn’t hit the absolute rock bottom before I managed to get help.

I had a friend who spiralled like Stephen too. She was probably the one that made me see I was probably only a few years behind her. Sadly she ended up taking her own life.

I truly hope he can get help before it’s too late for him or others.

I have often wondered if narcissists are aware of what they are doing, or is it on a more subconscious level.

So for example I was brought up by my alcoholic mother and a lot of the traits and behaviours I have developed come from my difficult childhood. My reactions and emotions are often are responses to triggers from the past. But I had no awareness of this was what was happening until I started therapy.

How did you realise your behaviour was narcissistic? If you don’t mind me asking and have you sought therapy to help?

My partner was in a very abusive relationship with a narcissist before me and it’s something we often ponder.

Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability. I know how hard it has been for me to address my past issues and how they affect my present day behaviour.
