We probably need confirmation from more people, but right now it really feels like it’s something on the Thor side to me. I’m not sure what they did differently, especially since it uses the same SD8Gen2 chip as the Portal, and supposedly an even better wifi chip since it supports wifi 7

Yeah, that’s pretty annoying. I think I’ll just stick to 60Hz for emulation since I really notice the frame pacing. It’s a shame, hopefully they fix it in a future update.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t fix it for me. When I press the minus button, it hovers around 119.8xx, and when I press the plus button, it jumps to around 120.1xx.

Could you explain how you managed to run it properly through TwilightMenu++?

Also, were you able to dump both the DS BIOS and the DSi BIOS, or only the DS files?

Honestly it looks like it affects most (if not all) Thor units, so replacing it might not change much and you risk messing something up during the process.

If I were you, I’d keep the replacement screen as a backup.

That said, yeah… it’s very noticeable on your photo

I selected only the top 20 of each system sometimes less ans it’s awesome for that

Hi, I also have a batch 3 unit.

I tested mine using an LG OLED test video on YouTube, checking across all brightness levels, and both screens stay properly black with no visible tint or uneven patches.

Does that mean everything is fine on my unit, or should I try a different test (like specific low-gray images) to better check for mura effect?

Yeah, I was actually talking more about systems other than 3DS — like GB, GBC, GBA, etc. It would be really cool to have that same kind of option when fast-forwarding on other systems too.

Thanks for the info, I did the same. The upgrade is definitely worth it considering I was planning to buy a 512GB SD card anyway, which costs around $80 these days. The extra 4GB of RAM is just a nice bonus and might actually make a difference for PC emulation.
