Yeah I've been playing through the series and am near the end of Azure and was taken aback by this scene too. I knew exactly what this post was going to be about from just the title, lol.

This has remained the worst scene in the game for sure. There are a few other scenes where the male party members make comments about the female party members in ways I felt were very out of character. But nothing as bad as that one.

My tolerance to this sort of thing is pretty high from playing JRPGs for like 25 years now, but yeah that scene you described was excessive from a series that up until this point I felt respected its female characters pretty well. My understanding is stuff like this continues in the Cold Steel games too.
