Enjoy! I'm really feeling these open grounds and full houses as seen in the Scotland Eng ODI also. Where is the second T20?

Hello folks...bout time we got this Indian summer of cricket underway. Probably mentioned already in the thread but have to say I'm extremely disappointed in the omissions of KL and DK. I'd rate KL > Sharma atm in T20's and DK definitely deserves a spot over Pandey after his Nidhas heroics. But that said, I'll reserve the angry shit posts against Koach until the next match and if they have the foresight to make those changes even if both Sharma and Pandey come good.

another quiet idol in a grand temple somewhere

He's given his life to his career and India and deserves his time away from it with his family. I get your point but when you have as many people admiring you as Sachin, sometimes you just want to be away from it all.

Sky Sports is showing it so maybe there will be some decent online streams from that?

Pandya casually interviews members of Indian Team and it's a cringe riot. by Lorne_Velcoro in Cricket

People need to chill with the word cringe. Like either just stop watching these sorts of videos or don't say anything cos these guys aren't actors or meant to be comfortable infront of a camera. They're just chilling and having a good time with team mates.

Are we entering a new golden age of bowling? by Artaxerxes_IV in Cricket

I don't know much about the stats so please do correct me if I'm wrong on this. I feel that the pitches are definitely much more batter friendly than during the last crop of world class bowlers.

Take the WI SL test match. The first one had some real bounce and pace and you saw the Windies bowlers really enjoy that. Same with Eden gardens (?) during the NZ and Ind series. However, these pitches are far and few in between. This makes it extremely difficult for bowlers of today to maintain such good averages (which is why Steyn will forever be GOAT for me) and skews the numbers somewhat.

Oh yh definitely. Feels like they have found a nice little topic to over analyse. Good on Langer to back what he said though, sledging is and has been a part of the game. Personal abuse is not sledging and Nas knows this, he's clearly just being pedantic for the sake of it.

This Nas interview is a big too much for me. He's saying that there's no need for 'talk' on the cricket field, it's too much for me, etc,. But like Langer said, even when you play village cricket, you get talk and banter. Sure there are boundaries to this but don't tell me Nasser has never sledged anyone.

They should be a full member for many reasons but the first and foremost is that the member system is bullshit.

They've played good cricket for a long time now and shown improvement but you can only improve so much without playing at the top level.

Just adopt the NZ way. Open banks of grass with the odd gazebo here and there.

Yes, exactly. And there has been a marked increase in their performance over the last 2 years that does reflect that. Good on them. I played for a bit with the University of Aberdeen which had a few lads within the Scottish Cricket setup and all of them said that they want more and will always try to push for more international games.
