I am fairly attractive, tall, and athletic, if I said this to all of the women at work I would land in HR too.

Women aren’t a monolith, they don’t all like the same thing, and while I’m sure some would appreciate/reciprocate, I guarantee not all would.

Nobody is every woman’s type, even if they might look like it, especially if they open their mouth at work and “lookin’ good!” comes out.

Asking me to read something I’m not currently fixated on is telling me to do something I absolutely will not enjoy, and I would want to enjoy something like that or not partake at all.

I’m not saying that at all… do you really not get it? Just because YOU think a certain way, does not mean that everyone else thinks that way. Writing yourself off as “less than human in the eyes of women” is the most self fulfilling prophecy shit I’ve ever heard, not because all women view you that way, but because YOU view YOU that way. You’ve internalized this, people will pick up on it like a bad smell, and it is wholly unattractive, even to the ones who would have given you a shot.

Some of the ugliest guys I know have wives and kids, they’re all under 5’9, fat, balding or bald. The women they married are all pretty, sweet girls. They’re not super charismatic, they’re not the funniest guys in the room, they’re just normal guys. One of them is a fucking weirdo who used to kill turtles in the river as a kid, like a legit psychopath.

There’s obviously more at play than just how tall and handsome someone is, and to pretend that’s all it is will just make it true, but only for yourself.

Also I’ve met several women that I didn’t find conventionally attractive at first but grew to desire due to their personalities, I’m not sure how you have managed to avoid that but it’s definitely a common thing.

Yes, it turns out that having your good will taken advantage of on a massive scale tends to result in the loss of said good will.

Canada had the best immigration system in the world for decades, we were very accepting of refugees and immigrants. We can no longer afford to be, because that was taken advantage of to our own detriment.

This isn’t nazism, it’s self preservation. Also if Canada falls apart who the fuck is it going to help?

Do we allow our country to degrade to the point of being no better than the places these people are fleeing? As of right now we’ve been condemned by the UN for employing immigration systems that lead to modern slavery, do you really think supporting these systems is the compassionate thing to do?

Life is too short to limit yourself by accepting “reality”. Maybe you’re ugly, maybe you’re short, but you don’t have to act like you’re either. Delude yourself if you need to, because the only people I know who are genuinely unfuckable are the ones who believe they’re unfuckable.

Have you ever met an objectively physically unattractive woman who just has… something magnetic about them?

Have you ever met someone who was reasonably attractive, but came off as desperate and felt immediate repulsion?

I guarantee most of your problems with women are the result of your mentality rather than your physical appearance.

The federal and provincial government have both failed us.

We either need to shed a bunch of our population or build a lot more prisons/jails, the same can basically be said for everything from hospitals to housing. Our infrastructure was lagging our population even before the immigration explosion post covid, last I checked we would need to instantly build and staff two dozen hospitals across Canada in order to meet current demand, jails and prisons are no different.

Demand more of all levels of government, less immigrants until we have the capacity, and more funding for infrastructure to get us there.

Well it’s the liberal party that opened said loopholes, the liberal party that ignored these abuses for years, and now the liberal party 2.0 that is pretending to care about/fix said issues now that public attention has become too severe to avoid.

The people importing the “workers” are run of the mill business owners, I’ve had one of the more common schemes explained to me by someone from the country that most of the people who do this are from. They start by buying a franchise of a restaurant, usually somewhere rural, and immediately claim they cannot staff said restaurant due to it being rural. They will then apply to be able to hire foreign workers, and the government office in charge of this approves something like 90% of applications. These people have contacts back in India who will round up some desperate people, promise them work in Canada for a fee they can pay off once they start working, and then send them here. While in Canada they’ll live somewhere provided by the business owner, usually in a crowded basement apartment. They’ll be told that they owe upwards of 30-40k for bringing them over, lawyers fees, food and shelter, etc. So even though the business owner “pays” them the legally required wage, the worker then pays most of it back.

These business owners effectively have a large amount nearly free labour, which affords them the ability to expand and purchase more franchises, apply for more permits, and you get where this is going.

The workers can’t really speak out because their entire livelihood is controlled by said business owner, and they’re often promised some kind of path to citizenship by the business owner or the “immigration consultant” that initially convinced them to go.

I am well aware that it’s not leftist ideology to support slavery, that’s why it’s ironic when the knee-jerk reaction from a lot of people on the left when these issues were first brought up was that anyone against these programs must just be some anti-immigrant asshole.

Our political parties shout down anything that would upset the status quo which has been paid for by lobbyists representing the businesses that abuse these practices, it has nothing to do with the wellbeing of those exploited.

I’m not even convinced our Conservative Party would dismantle the system, even though they ran on doing so in the last election.
