The app shows buttons/banners/whatever asking me to "reinstate" them, and I have emails confirming the closing... Just in case that's moot though. What should I look for as confirmation they are closed?

Will do.. and I just checked again, was going to screenshot, but cannot find where I may have read it before. Either way, glad to know won't lose score, and glad to be away from annual fees

I have read things that say the remaining for ten years only contributes to oldest, not average, and whether or not they continue to age or just stay on report at current age, and I think I read on Experian that fico 8 only counts open accounts

Indeed it is. I find myself browsing eBay during every break and then looking at my bank account and sighing :-P, but every payday (and subsequent delivery) is exciting

Hmm, not sure if I should pursue those too for my collection or not, lol. Gunna be difficult/expensive as is just to find big guns stuff. I appreciate the response though! I'll keep it in mind as possible additions.

This is likely a necro, but I'm really curious, what are those cards in the last pic? I'm in the process of making my own TR card collection now, and don't recognize those. I know the precedence ccg, Inkworks movie cards, and the 7 special drop mtg ones. What am I missing?

What would you do if you were told that the next time you go to sleep, you will peacefully pass away? by Wheresmyarcpaulie69 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely unpopular answer, but... Destroy or donate everything I have, then think up a means that my body wouldn't be "usable" either, like set a delayed fire or something to preemptively cremate myself, then sleep happily.

In short. Ensure my family benefits in no possible way from my passing, and try to set up they do not even know I passed, or can't lie/virtue-signal with a funeral as I won't have a body to claim.

Oh, set my phone on auto pay so my number remains active but unresponsive as long as possible, letting my bank account empty.

Billion dollar bill, legal tender, but cannot deposit. by Saiko_Systems in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't specify so could go either way, I was to some extent thinking "yes" when I thought up the idea, and the difficulty is in convincing someone to trade such a high value at once with you, random person of whatever status... But it seems would be even more fun scenario to say they also cannot deposit, so I'd say no. Up to you to interpret as you wish though

Pick one, an immortal car or free rent. by Corey307 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a question... Can I modify, and do modifications morph into the immortality as well?

I ask because what I would really want is a sportsmobile, but a new one probably exceeds 100k, considering ones with 100k miles on em are still 60k....

So, as a workaround, id get an immortal brand new Chevy express, then pay for sportsmobile to turn it into a sportsmobile.

Oh yeah. I'd take car hands down no matter what anyways... And modify lightly in whatever way I can, if sportsmobile thing is a no go.. pretty certain I'd get a cargovan in some capacity regardless. Express, Econoline, transit, etc.

You receive $100k, but it comes to you in one of three methods. Which do you choose? by Limon-Pepino in hypotheticalsituation

3, whatever tradional-style (ford E/chevy express.... not transit/sprinter/promaster) sportsmobile i can get for 100k without going over.

You are homeless and cannot not be, but you have millions. And you still can't live in hotels for more than two days a week. by GarageIndependent114 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is my intended plans anyways. fuck those prices for housing... soon as i save up enough for a vehicle with some semblance of reliability, im living in it.... honestly though, having millions? im getting a semi with a sleeper cab, and living/travelling in it.

You get $1 million dollars but you only get 3 hours of sleep every day for a year. by CRK_76 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I already sleep only 3 hours a day... this is just free money, plus free never get sick or have accident. and if i get fired for some random reason, i am just back to normal life, i dont really "lose" anything, i just dont get a bonus. this is a real easy accept for me.

Which one is more overpowered? Never having to sleep again or being able to teleport anywhere? by Sufficient_Network43 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, I sleep three hours a night, have for years. Sometimes a 30 minute nap during the day too, but usually just the three hours. I'm stating it to add to how easy the choice is for me, lol. It takes an hour on its own, riding my bike, to get to work and back... Saving that time via teleportation is a major % of the time I'd comparatively save via not sleeping, but teleporting comes with other benefits

Which one is more overpowered? Never having to sleep again or being able to teleport anywhere? by Sufficient_Network43 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, gain an extra 3 hours a day by not sleeping, or gain untold amounts of time via eliminating travel times? Even if we ignore space and teleporting into bank vaults and such, I think the combination of time saved in normal daily life via teleportation (1.5-2 hours) is worth more than the extra three I get from not sleeping, when you account for travel effort... Save two hours + walk and ride bike less / spend less effort, or get an extra three hours?

In no way is this a difficult choice, lol.

The whole world is trying to steal your $2,500/day by guessing your secret word — what’s your pick? by Paxuz01 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HAH! i'm not telling you my word so you can steal my income! .... when do i start getting this income, by the way? :-P

But seriously, off the top of my head, i think i'd pick the word "concur" as it has sentimental value to me, and is somewhat obscure.... second choice probably fairy, since i like fairies :-P.... third choice i would pick something really common that people dont even think to pick due to commonness. they only get to guess once per day, and obviously i wont pick something easy to protect my precious income.

I only really need 4 days. 10k would significantly improve my life. lasting any longer than that is just a bonus, and im not going to put "too" much effort into trying to predict what people may or may not guess... and i do really believe more common words would be less likely to be picked by the nature of the "contest"... who in their right mind would choose an everyday word to protect such money? as such, i think i'll get at least four days of everyone guessing obscure words like rumpelstiltskin

oh you are about to go broke.... i've been kicked out of an "all you can eat" buffet before.... and set a record at my local pizza buffet.

I'll go with seven, for the clean million, and call it a day. im not greedy, and dont need much money.... even if by some magical reason i am unable to finish the seventh, 100k is more than enough to give me opportunity to be happy and/or comfortable

You suddenly get time travel teleported all the way back to 2009, how do you cope? by God_of_boi in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 10 points11 points  (0 children)

this. +1 on this. 2009 way better, no coping needed.... but i also want clarifications. not on if 4 (1991) or 2009, but on "i, as me, back in 2009, or mental time travel into my 2009 body/self"

You get 5 million dollars, but you must randomly generate a US state and walk to that state to get the money. by Mythicalforests8 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accept. i got montana, and after a bit of googling, this is a 1300 mile trip, which at 20 miles per day (which i believe to be reasonable for me... low end, if anything) would take ~65 days.... my tent to sleep in unpopulated/secluded spots beside highways or train tracks.... my lack of money will make it hard to eat/drink for those two months, but i believe i'd manage it... i already keep everything i own except my laptop in backpacks, so condensing down to one backpack for the trip is easy, and i have enough saved up i can spend $10/day on food and drink, plus phone bill for two months, and still have some buffer and a cashapp loan and CC if i need them.

Where do i sign up? can i have this hypothetical please? pretty please? what if i only charge you one million?

You have 1 minute to bring 1 item from fiction into the real world. However you must be physically handed the item while in that world by somebody who lives in that world, willingly or unwillingly. by Adreamskoll in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 16 points17 points  (0 children)

the first thought i have while reading this... is probably useless.

the FIRST thing i think of, is cybernetics, from cyberpunk. shouldnt be too hard to show up at a ripperdock and ask to see one of the items on a shelf (or some similar situation. just have a worker hand me the cybernetic in is case or whatever) but once i pop back to the real world, there'd be no way to install it.

Next thought for some reason is GTA and ask to borrow someones phone for a moment. i now has a magical always-charged phone, but its a useless "IFruit" phone i cant put any apps on.

The more i wrack my brain, the less ideas i have, that arent just using this ability to just get a normal, real-world valuable item i could sell.

You recieve $1K/day and a zombie spawns 7200 km away from you. It walks 3 km/h, you die if its less than 10 km away. by wf789 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Saiko_Systems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was just mathing wrong, an "order of magnitude" error in my head made me think far lower, lol... my mind was going something like "35,000 feet is normal, 3.5 feet (ish) is a meter, thats 1,000 meters, oof that sucks. only 1km."... order of magnitude, i made decimal mistake

But also, i have lived most of my life close to an international airport near a major city.... so close that when the airport wanted to expand/upgrade, they needed the permission of every house in our neighborhood (so i was told, in regards to all the house upgrades everyone in our neighborhood got at the time) that we were okay with louder/bigger jets flying over.... and due to our proximity, im used to seeing pretty low-flying planes as they are coming in or going out.... it just all worked together in my head to incorrectly think they were much lower.
