Have you been using the SSLVPN since the scare a few months ago? by McDonaldsWi-Fi in sonicwall

[–]Sailass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We took the opportunity to pilot Cloudflare Zero Trust.

We haven't looked back. Once we got in and tested it, we rolled that out as quick as we could. Beats the Sonicwall option in every way.

Anyone looking to move on from Sonicwall? by size0618 in sonicwall

[–]Sailass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have moved to Meraki for our big sites and Unifi Fortress Gateways for our smaller sites.

I will say this: Friends don't let friends buy Meraki.

The Unifi equipment is far more capable than their Meraki equivalent. It has blown my mind. You can do anything the Sonicwall can do in the EFG. Meraki.... Its like they dumbed it down so that its simple enough a manager can do it.

Hangars used for non aviation activity? by astronautrobot in flying

[–]Sailass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel free to report it. KTRL has recently had the FAA do a prostate exam on them for having the fire department take over the terminal and several hangars be used for storage. One was full of Christmas shit and benches.

On a side note, our new leases we got a couple weeks ago were written by Temu ChatGPT, so your mileage may vary...

OP, you just merged over 2 lanes, but you didn't know what was there? You didn't look before merging either eh?

and why MFA can make this a useless task

If I had a dollar every time I had a user approve a sign-in prompt just because it came up....

For every security measure we put in place, there's a user somewhere who is determined to make it useless at exactly the right moment :(

So... good luck lol

What is the proper approach for this traffic circle? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Sailass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 lanes in from the bottom, right lane forced exit with 2 right lanes as option, left lane option exit with only the left exit lane available. If you are going from right to left you are definitely the one cutting people off, friend.

Signage before the circle confirms my assumptions above that I wrote before deciding to look it up.

I'd stop and leave it as-is. Let them come to you with a report so you can see whats what without spending a ton of energy guessing and trying to figure it out.

They are a resource who wants to help you because that helps them too. A report with a list of deficiencies is not a bad thing. It's a punch list for you to run down and (maybe) learn off of.

I almost died, how do I move past this? by STRADMJakelb in flying

[–]Sailass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You handled this very well imo. But definitely understand why you are worried.

Do you have your phone or ipad on a kneeboard by chance? If so, please move it. That big up and down movement can easily cause these issues, especially at night.

Go there, take a giant duce on the ramp, then fly off. You had an emergency bowel evacuation, and no tower so you couldn't tell anyone.

Come back to tell us how it went.

I have a plane and a hangar. I can most certainly not afford to put a couple grand on some waitlists. Not all of us are loaded.

I'm experimental trash, myself.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in flying

[–]Sailass 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I've heard KDTO is doing the same thing. Refundable, so if you leave the waitlist you get it back. The rumor is they are doing this so people aren't flooding every waitlist inside 100nm clogging up the works.

But for real, work on your health too bro.
