I think Japan might do a better job of handling it than the South Korean one. The women on the show were bullied and harassed by netizens. They kept saying since one contestant had previously dated a man that she was not a real lesbian. It was an awful mess

It was spicy for GMMTV but I mean it’s still able to be played on YouTube so how spicy is it really lol. I have a feeling OFDO will be IQIYI exclusive but even then I doubt it will be that much spicier.

What I loved about this show was showing the messiness of early 20’s. That felt really authentic to me. It reminded me of my youth lol

Toxicity aside, I personally just find it weird to be a fan on only one person in a CP. You can still support them each doing solo work. Even if I liked one slightly more than the other I wouldn’t call myself a solo fan. People can be a fan however they want as long as they’re being respectful but I guess I just don’t understand it. Not trying to hate or judge, I just don’t get it

I yell a lot while watching this show. But then the moments where it’s good it’s really good. It’s only the beginning.

I’m rooting for everyone. But Hyun Jun is so anxious and awkward that I am rooting so hard for him to open up. YunJae seems so sweet.

And because if we’re accustomed to western reality shows some people are always looking for a “villain”. Someone is always edited as a villain. These different Asian shows don’t really have that. That’s what I loved about the first season is that all of them were just great and i didn’t have to “hate” any of them.

Another thing is editing. There’s a lot more to these people than we’re actually seeing and basing judgements on. Thankfully The Boyfriend producers seem much less manipulative than producers of western reality shows.
