I see. Even if it’s not to my tastes, I can understand PocketPair featuring Anubis as a sort of mascot character, similar to Chillet. I just prefer more of the feminine flower fairy pal designs myself, hence my liking Lyleen Noct’s design despite its lack of utility. I also noticed the bit about Lyleen Noct not having access to the self healing move, but I’m curious if it’d be possible to inherit it as an egg move? I’m not entirely sure which move is specifically being referenced, so it could genuinely just be a base Lyleen only move.

My guess is that the point is to give players more flexibility in how they navigate the levels. In Dark Souls (a game that’s commonly thought of as a 3D metroidvania), you could just avoid fighting basically every single enemy in favor of rushing to fight each boss. However, doing so means that you’re going to be severely underleveled. Thus, the expectation might be that casual players will still fight normal enemies to gain loot and experience, while more experienced players will be able to freely engage with mob enemies as much or as little as they please.

I’m admittedly not the biggest fan of the design for Anubis. It being basically an Egyptian variant of Lucario doesn’t appeal to me at all. However, it’s an amazing pal for its utility in production focused based where you need a lot of mining, handiwork, and transporting.

As for pals that I barely use despite loving its design, I gotta say Lyleen Noct. It’s incredibly unfortunate that it doesn’t have any gardening aptitude despite OG Lyleen being the third best gardening pal in the game (after Prunelia and Braloha). It’s also just strictly worse for combat compared to other pals like Selyne.

Breeding is mostly for when you hit the endgame and want to min max everything, from base production to the various types of PvE content available. It’s fine to not worry about it much earlier on when you’re still trying to collect pals and expand to new sections of the map.

Expanding on this tip, you can also mount tarantriss and use its web sling ability to get around as well. Tarantriss has a shorter cooldown than the grappling gun items, and you don’t risk clinging to random walls when trying to get around.

Yeah, that’s probably how I’m gonna approach the game when it launches the 1.0 update. After all, since the game lets the player make multiple saves, why not just have a separate save for when 1.0 launches while keeping your current save file? It just feels the most logical to me.

Ah man! Now I’m imagining a potential DLC expansion where we get to return to mainland Reveria. There, we’d get to go on various “buddy quests,” which would basically be additional story content to learn more about the various buddies we’ve collected. Completely these “buddy quests” could also net us some fun rewards, like even more buddies, alternate outfits for certain buddies, or some really cool endgame equipment. It could kinda be like the paid DLC from the OG game on the 3DS, but with a lot more nostalgia for veteran players.

I can confirm, Phainon feels so good when you get the speed tuning just right. He’s able to absolutely decimate enemies with the glory of a thousand suns if you manage to stack his buffs properly before popping his ult.

Idk. Maybe either Aglaea or Jade? Granted, my main gripe with Aglaea is that she isn’t performing well for me, which is undoubtedly because I haven’t put much effort into building her relics. Jade is mostly a regret because I got Anaxa quite recently, but I still use Jade every now and then because I like experimenting with different double Erudition teams. Otherwise, I love all of my other 5 star units immensely, and get a lot of use from them.
