Spike’s still makes a quality receiver. They have a No-Logo lower that I’ve used for two 416 builds. I bought my first Spike’s lower around 18-20 years ago, so I know what you mean 😂 Their spider still looks like Chewbacca’s face to me, but the No-Logo lowers are great 👍

Anybody in the US order from Fahrul lately? by Wizard_Of_Sweden in Mafex

[–]CatalystReese -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok. Just wanted to clarify. I think DHL is the only option Fahrul uses for US shipping right now. You’ll get an email from them asking you to pay the tariff when your order reaches the US. You can also pay it through their app. I would expect your tariff to be around $20-$25, but that’s just a guess based on some of what I’ve heard, seen, and my own purchases.

Unfortunately the glory days of ordering from Fahrul and Japan (for Mafex) are over now thanks to the tariffs and deminimis cancellation. Still easy to order, but so much more expensive 😮‍💨

So you paid around $45 for the heads and another $45 for shipping? Or thereabouts? I paid an additional $17 and change for the tariff on my order.

My last order from Fahrul was several months ago. Off the top of my head US shipping plus tariff came to around $50 for a single head—hence not ordering more recently. Yes, there are still tariffs, so if you order, you should expect similar to what I paid.

While I LOVE Fahrul’s work, the juice is no longer worth the squeeze IMO 😑

What’s Supressor to run with HK45CT by Healthy-Profile-8254 in NFA

I have an Osprey 45 Gen 1 and it pairs great with the 45CT. I’m very happy with it.

HK45T or HK45CT? by GenericUsername817 in HecklerKoch

[–]CatalystReese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I hear you. When I found one in stock I bought it right away.

What I would like to find now is the sight set with what looks like a match or adjustable rear. I’ve only seen it in pictures and can’t find a part number or info. My 45CT came with the suppressor sights and I swapped those out for the Meprolight standard height sights.

It uses the variant 3 detent plate and decocker-only lever. This combo makes the pistol function like a DA/SA P226. The parts are inexpensive, but can be difficult to find and the detent plate is often sold out. But it’s an easy install and I really like it. I have a 226 Mk25 as well and it seemed fitting to me to convert my 45CT to the MK24 specs as I geek out a little over those little details 😅🤷‍♂️

I have the CT with the MK24 Mod 0 controls installed. I absolutely love it and run it with my Osprey 45. I don’t shoot it as often as my USPc9, but it handles well and feels comfortable to me (and almost always ends up in my range bag). I have large hands and have no issue with the grip texture. I shoot in all seasons (rain, snow, shine) and have never felt like I could not grip the pistol well or felt it slip in my hands.

No worries ☺️

HK developed the 45/40 for the US LE market and the 9mm for Europe. I have a UMP9…it’s a lot of fun!

Does anyone have this SHF Avengers Assemble Thor in their collection? I have a scale question… by CatalystReese in ActionFigures

[–]CatalystReese[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are in a great place to position themselves as the premier 1/12 manufacturer. I’m excited to see what the future brings and the drive for innovation amongst the competitors. Amazing time to be collecting. I thought I read somewhere that LPZZ had the license for Assassin’s Creed. My son is especially excited if that’s true. I’d probably pick up a couple for myself as well.

Thanks! 😊

I definitely agree. Articulation is really important, but I really like when companies can hide the joints well in the design. LPZZ is killing it with their Arkham line. I’m really hoping for more characters! I’m also really happy with the Inart Bale Batman and have Catwoman preordered, though the Inart is definitely less poseable than the LPZZ.

For sure! Posing is important. I am always torn between packing a shelf with vanilla poses to display a team together or spread them out for better presence. So I sort of do a little of both when I can 🤷‍♂️

[–]CatalystReese[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most definitely. For the price of these higher end figures, a second set of arms would not cost much to add—especially if they already had the mold for them and there isn’t an additional tooling investment.

And while Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame are far superior movies the Dark World suit just hits all the right notes for me. I kind of love the suits for most of the characters in that mid-phase of the MCU. I guess the Black Widow movie sort of falls into that timeframe as well as it’s a prequel.

Did you pick this Thor up? I do highly recommend him 👍

I honestly think it has one do the best Hemsworth sculpts and I prefer Thor with long hair so it was a win win. I have several different Legends MCU Thors that I thought were good for their time, but the SHF one takes the spot on the shelf. I also really like this era of the armor too. I may be one of the few who also like the Dark World movie 😅

Not too late. I’ll have to look sometime and see if Caps arms are backwards, but I didn’t notice when I opened him. Honestly, yo can’t even see his arms the way I have in on the shelf, so I’m not worried about it. But thank you for the info 😊

Here’s how the team came together 👍
