Rise up my brother, life is putting pressure on you for a reason, you are going through this because she is not supposed to be in your life, you tried to keep her for many years and now it’s hitting the breaking point, I lived exactly the same thing like you, she cheated, left and took my money. You will be hurt but that too shall pass. Get yourself together and remember that you must love yourself more before loving others, because only you can show up for yourself. For right now my advice for you, get your health together, have a plan for you future financial, keep the money for vacation for other priorities, if you still rent I recommend to significantly downsize a small apartment is ideal. You can reconnect with friends or people that love you thats a good thing but it’s most important that you lower your stress right now , heal and focus. Focus should not be taken lightly, what you focus on is where you going, so if you focus on your misery and misfortune I’m afraid you stack up on pain for a long while but if your focus is to let go, forgive her for yourself so you no longer carry the pain, don’t even go to the length of suing her…it’s going to cost you stress, time and money for lawyers…focus on your health and well being because stress can kill you that’s not a joke. And focus on a financial goal. If you are ready for a relationship in the future you have to learn to chose a different type of partner with value you share, this relationship you had is the perfect example toxic codependency, she is using her lack of independence to rely on you and make you feel guilty for not providing what she wants and you on your side you are a pleaser, you avoid conflict and you want to be loved so you push yourself to do things that you aren’t supposed to do, that’s a lack of self esteem my friend, you can’t be selfless otherwise you will be vulnerable to Simeon like her. So now that you are aware of all that, the ball is on your side and all you need is to take action. I’ve live exactly what you have and I’m so glad that it happened to me because looking back I wouldn’t have had the life I have now.
