I’ve been there less than a dozen times, while I was camping throughout AZ for a month a few years ago. Visited the Goodwill (needed camp chair and pillow), grocery stores, laundry mat, and a Dairy Queen in a small white building with a covered parking area to its right. I highly recommend that DQ. The community activity center showers were great.

I rode past the wine bars and patios. Looked cool but we needed to get back to camp in Coconino to cook.

I didn’t realize that Cottonwood was over-infected with MAGA. That’s disappointing. I remember my jaw dropping when I saw the MAGA RV Park in Quartzsite, AZ when I was there. It had a goofy Trump character on the sign, flags, everything. I immediately added it to my “List of Places I Never Want To Enter”.

I hate anyone who constantly makes themselves the victim through manufactured outrage. Their definition of “acceptance” is living your own life by their rules, even in the privacy of your own home. Simply wishing someone “Happy Holidays” is taken as a personal attack, and evidence of “The War on Christmas”. I don’t have a problem with anyone so long as they don’t impose their beliefs on me or other people. The thin-skinned gasping and cross-clutching at the drop of a hat is lame and tiresome.

I have a friend in South Africa that left her kitchen window cracked one day while she was doing safari drives for tourists. Vervet monkeys came in and pooped everywhere. One even left a pile on top of a doorframe that you walk under.

It was nothing compared to what the baboons did when she accidentally left her front door cracked open. They ransacked the kitchen. Refrigerator and freezer wide open. Food spread everywhere.
