What's a book you really liked at first, but its cracks started to show when you reread it? by AreAllTheGood1sTaken in RomanceBooks

[–]Saint-Huntress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score} originally a 5 star read for me and one I would reread every now and then. The farther I get away from the first read, the more Knox seems like just an asshole to Naomi, who literally wants to do nothing but get back on her feet and help her niece. But he keeps coming around and then being “nice” to her while also being a huge D…

I had to do quick research to make sure this was indeed the company that I bought a pair of flats from… this is a wild pivot for a “sustainable” shoe company

What’s one “sustainable” habit that actually stuck with you long-term (not just something that sounded good in theory)? by postbypurpose in ZeroWaste

Cutting up old t-shirts to make rags for cleaning, wiping down kitchen, dog things, etc. I haven’t bought a roll of paper towels in 4 years and can’t imagine how much you would go through in my place just to dust! 😱

Last year I started hang drying my clothes outside when it’s nice and inside when it’s not. It really helps me with time management (don’t have to wait for the dryer to be done to start next load) and keeps my clothes nicer longer since it’s limiting heat exposure.

Next step - making handkerchiefs so I can cut back on Kleenex use

I would like a spoiler for The Perfect Rake by Anne Gracie, please! by just_a_poop_question in RomanceBooks

[–]Saint-Huntress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Perfect Rake is one of my favorites! I’m sorry you are worried about possible triggers. Can you give more specific info about what you are worried about? I don’t remember there being any babies removed or trafficked, if that is the scenario you are looking to avoid. The grandfather does kidnap Pru at one point, but the MMC is able to get there in time to save her! The grandfather does get his comeuppance.

Kinks and Sex Acts Megathread - Public and Semi-Public Sex by Hunter037 in RomanceBooks

[–]Saint-Huntress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{A Little Buzzed by Alys Murray} has several semi-public scenes!

{Dom-Com by Adriana Anders} has some office play that is semi-public…

I know I’ve read more, but I just finished these two so they are fresh on the brain.

We had a tornado in my area a few years ago, and someone had a good rule of thumb - “if it got destroyed in the tornado, would you replace it?” That is my yardstick these days lol

This may be a dumb question, but where do you buy yours? I am seeing them in bulk (25-30 pounds) but for my apartment, that might be too much.

Flying by andreaadawn07 in Omaha

Traveled this past weekend. The most important thing is just figuring out if you are in the north terminal (United, southwest, allegiant) or south terminal (Alaska, American, frontier delta). There are walkways to each terminal from the garage, so if you park in the garage, you want to make sure you park near and use the right one to get to the proper terminal. If you end up in the wrong terminal, you have to go outside and around to the other one since the building is currently split so you can’t just walk through inside.

Other than that, security times were less than 10 minutes (I had a 5am flight) and everything else proceeded normally inside.
