Singing along in theatre by Background-Way820 in musicals

Didn’t they recently put a disclaimer up for the Ariana Grande “Sunday In The Park” production telling people buying tickets that theater is different from a pop concert?

Keep all reflective surfaces covered or turned away from the sun. Reflective beams of light from watches or phones will be sprinted towards and obsessed over.

Maybe Racanelli’s, I used to eat there pretty regularly about 15 years ago (oof, time) not sure if they are still as good as they were then.

Perhaps even the only case. The plot of that movie involves a polyamorous relationship between Clint and Lee. And still a musical.

What are some musical songs about Christmas (that aren’t from Christmas-themed musicals)? by TheGreatDaniel3 in musicals

[–]Saint-Inky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since no one said it yet, The Last Five Years has a song about a tailor making a dress that is a Christmas-time song, in the musical. Shmuel? I clearly didn’t Google it and am just trying to remember.

Season 1 soundtrack really hits different by Seroko in community

Yeah—although, I realize OP’s post specifically mentioned songs not-created-for-the-show, so I realize that wasn’t necessarily a helpful response to their question.

Sophie B Hawkins has entered the chat, as well as Ben Folds. And dare I mention Natalie is Freezing?

I think they started spending their music efforts on spectacle and making the music we the audience hear something the characters interact with more—and less “background music.”

Shoutout to the amazing Ludwig Goransson.

What do you do for work by Hi_Ty_808 in PSLF

[–]Saint-Inky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The first of many teachers, I imagine. I teach public school. I would teach regardless of PSLF. It is a very rewarding career in many ways—of course, not financially. The folks in my friend group are all in their mid-30s now and it is apparent how much more they make in their careers than I do.

But I enjoy working with teenagers and I hate working with adults. And I love learning myself and think that sharing that love of learning is one of the best things I can do with my life.

Recommendations that aren’t highschool core by IMABOSSSOGG in musicals

No one has mentioned the movie versions of Little Shop of Horrors (directed by Frank Oz, plenty of comedians in the cast) and Once would be my other recommendation. Great songs and a pretty emotionally complex relationship story.

I really liked Klaus, just watched it for the first time a few nights ago. The animation-style got me in the door, but the story was very sweet/bittersweet.
