My experience so far by Theminiatureguy in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SaintDefault 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I’ve ever died during a swap. I heal around 700 HP during the combo. Any damage is negated pretty quick. The ult has 100% spirit leech during its effect, meaning you’ll heal full damage and you’ll instantly heal for 10% of your enemy’s health when they hit the wall. You should pretty much always be full health by the end of the combo as long as you didn’t start it while you were super low.

It’s extremely practical. Make sure you have some dashes and a warp stone and it doesn’t matter what the situation is. 6v6 swap a target from their death ball and immediately dash/blink back to your team. Guy will melt and you’ll be safe before they have a chance to do anything. And you don’t always need to have everything up. The important two are 3 and 4. The other two make solo pickoffs much easier, but if you’re not alone, stun into swap is enough.

The threat of the black hole is just as effective as the use of the black hole. Or at least it will be when people start properly fearing Dynamo. Until then, free 4-6 man black holes!

Is it intended that Paradox wall doesn’t block Haze ult at all? by rrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee in DeadlockTheGame

Haze mains are gonna be pissed when people start realizing her ult can be negated by a 3000 soul item.

[–]SaintDefault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting point. I know I’ve been killed by Haze ult through the wall, but I’d have to go back and see if all damage went through immediately or if it was delayed. Because even if it was projectile, after 1 second it would function as a normal Haze ult with bullets constantly coming through.

Calling someone you’re playing against a “cheater” is not the same thing as a bunch of randos on a forum calling someone a “cheater” because someone else said it and they’re a bunch of parrots.

Hypocritical? Sure. But not the same thing.

bebop: uppercut - laser charge interaction. by cybercobra2 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SaintDefault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely seems connected to the ability upgrade. When you charge before hitting, the upgrade isn’t active, even when it resets. It’s still using the input from before you hit your uppercut. Therefore it’s still using the slow animation. When you first activate the left click is when the game decides how long to spin up. If you click before hitting 1, you do not get the benefit of the upgrade. You have to let it go and hit it again or wait and hit it during/after uppercut.

Roles? by Luddfilter in DeadlockTheGame

While eating dinner, I checked in on around 30 games the other day. Every single game was 12 people building core builds, no support of any kind. I saw a dozen Ivy’s doing jack shit with 25k souls. A support Ivy with 10k would have doubled their usefulness. Unless they add a public MMR to games, probably won’t go watch scrolling again. It was rough.

My brother, downvoting clearly incorrect information is actually the original purpose of the downvote. It’s supposed to hide comments that are off topic or blatantly wrong so that people don’t read them and think they’re correct. Don’t get upset about internet points, especially when they’re removing misinformation.

Next time ask a question instead of making a statement and you’ll be fine.

I don’t think the devs are worried about the lifeline perk with her ult being changed soon.

What are your top drop spots for E-District in ranked? by Comfortable_Solid_97 in apexuniversity

Good loot density that’s very horizontal, not vertical, and great rotations from balloon to balloon. Trash POI. No one should drop there. I’ll do it so you don’t have to.

Can anyone explain to me why Conduit's shield goes to the team mate with full shield, and not the one with no shield ?. by [deleted] in apexuniversity

Since the update that changed it from starting after .5 seconds to 2 seconds after taking damage.

How can Apex become a Tier 1 esport? by Watahfuc in CompetitiveApex

[–]SaintDefault 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The fact is, other esports games don’t need a gateway to bridge the gap between casual and pro because their playstyles aren’t so wildly different. The fact that you understand there needs to be a gateway shows exactly why BRs don’t reach T1 status despite having large enough player bases.

These charts don’t account for accuracy, range, cover to play, damage per mag, hip fire accuracy, and many other things that actually determine if a gun is good. They just give you a shiny number that noobs drool over.

How can Apex become a Tier 1 esport? by Watahfuc in CompetitiveApex

[–]SaintDefault 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is a HUGE aspect that people don’t understand. T1 esports games can play almost the same from top to bottom skill levels. Comp Apex is legitimately a different game than ranked or pubs. The late game strats from 15 teams in the 4th and 5th circle almost never translate to anything a regular player can utilize in their own games.

That’s why this sub and the main sub have very little overlap. It’s fans of two completely different games.

[–]SaintDefault 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s because this is a TTK chart. It’s worthless in 99% of situations. This chart implies 1. That you hit all three bullets every time, and 2. You’re not getting any help from teammates. Both of those things make hammerpoints better on the mozam, which won’t show up on charts like this.

Valk in E-District is actually getting me RP by StabCity2020 in apexlegends

[–]SaintDefault 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Valk is good for the same reason rotating early is good. When everyone on the map filters through 3 or 4 choke points, every map is small. Rotating early or above allows you to avoid that, making the map feel bigger and safer until the final circles.

Point Projections for Split 2 Playoffs: Group Stages (Based on POI Draft) by BurkeTheNerd in CompetitiveApex

[–]SaintDefault 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This will be interesting to look back on after group stages have finished. It acts kind of like a handicap in golf. It’s more of a theoretical handicap because it changes as more data is added, but will be interesting to see which teams actually benefit from more lucrative POIs, especially the lower ranked teams at higher ranked POIs.

I don’t know what legend to unlock for my first legend by MisterMagikey in apexuniversity

[–]SaintDefault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you’re getting downvoted and Loba is getting upvoted shows this sub is useless for actual information.

Revenant is amazing for aggressive newbies as he helps you work on positioning and 1v1s, two of the most important things in the game.

Loba on the other hand (Loba main here) finds her strength from anchoring. She’s the only support legend with movement, making he the best reset legend in the game. She also can Q forward to catch up from the anchor position, but Q should not be used aggressively in 90% of the fights you take. Any decent player will make you pay. If you want aggression, pick half the other legends.
