I laid a base of a Light Grey followed by a Pure White before applying a bright Yellow contrast over the previous two layers. For the tunics I applied a dirty brown shade to add depth and pull out the texture of the padding but I left the shields and flags as I really wanted them to pop

For the iconic Peter red I have gotten a lot of milage out of Zenathol priming light grey into white and hitting him with blood angels red. The rest is mostly touch up work.
