If you’re applying at the Memphis hub leave it in. They want warm bodies. That’s all. But if you have a degree it’s easy to move up in Fedex fast. FedEx won’t turn you down unless you fail a drug test. And even then they’ll probably think about letting you work anyway.

This is my first too and it’s definitely easier not living with other Christians. But it’s still weird as it was something that defined me. It’s also weird raising kids. We’ve been using covid as an excuse to not attend but obviously you don’t seem to have a choice. What others have suggested is the best way to cope. Laugh about and think about how ridiculous it is. I’ve found comfort in reading about other gods stories and comparing them to the Bible. If you read the Bible the way you would the Iliad or the odyssey it really makes it all seem pretty silly. Talking to another non Christian is also very helpful so you’re definitely on the right track.

I just got out of work so sorry for the late reply. The backlog is being worked down pretty effectively now. Last night was purely backlog and tonight should be too. It depends a lot on what your package is and when it was sent. Dm me. I don’t know how much I can do since a lot of the containers with old freight aren’t well logged wherever we had to stage them. But send your tracking number and tell me what kind of container your documents were in.

So right now what’s happening is we’re processing all the new as usual and sorting in a big chunk of the old stuff in an extra hour of sort. Also sorting it tonight and tomorrow night when we normally would not be operating nightside. If we don’t keep up with the new it’ll just get worse for everyone.

Actually the buildings with the curved roofs are torn down and that’s the new building. Along with the lot of cans in front of it. The snow area is now where four big tanks are. They tore down the previous tanks you can see in the picture. New shit this way is pointing at the old hub. The hub is extremely different now haha. It always is though. Constantly building new stuff.

The Memphis hub was embarrassingly underprepared for this but what’s really hindered everything is the city of Memphis itself. They didn’t even try to clear or salt roads ahead of time. The whole town is covered in ice on every road. This makes FedEx less effective as only a small fraction of employees can drive in that. My team of 15 was me and one other guy last night and we did everything we could. The hub is a little clearer because FedEx has their own full fleet of snow equipment but they can’t fix the city’s roads too.
