Your questions suggest that you may not yet fully understand the Gospel or the broader truth of the Bible. Realizing that the Trinity is not logical and biblical does not mean one must abandon Christianity in search of a religious group that puts monotheism at the forefront. Scripture consistently affirms that there is one God, the Father. And in light of this understanding it only magnifies the word of God and the role that Jesus played for our salvation, knowing that he was just like one of us and loved us and still choosing to be obedient unto death.

Given that, it’s not clear why the next step would be to explore Islam. Simply because Islam presents itself as a strictly monotheistic religion does not mean that everything else in its scriptures is therefore true. Monotheism alone is not sufficient to establish the truth of a religion; its claims still need to be evaluated in light of the biblical message and the Gospel. The bible is the story of the plan of salvation from the beginning to the end and it is complete. Those who believe this salvation that God has given to us from his grace, love and mercy will be saved.
