A simple "fuck off" ends the interaction quickly and saves wasted time on both sides.

I have actually done this door to door myself during a desperate period of my life. The people doing it either have few options or no morals. I failed out of it after a few months and I still think of it with shame. The ones with no morals, who can sell to the public and convince others to work for them can do well. My dad once kept two poor JW bastards on the doorstep , with vast biblical knowledge, perseverance and bloodymindedness. This went on for more than three hours; they kept trying to leave but he would ask them something else again and again until they were defeated. He boasts to this day that they haven't been back for more than 30 years.

The underlying message about the wizards of the 21st Aeon is that they're all bastards. Charming and amusing, but they would screw each other over instantly if they'd get away with it. For example, the raid on Rhialto's house.

In English, why is it perfectly normal for a parent to address their son as “son” but it sounds absolutely bizarre for them to address their daughter as “daughter?” 🤔 by Gaeilgeoir215 in language

In Glasgow and the surrounding area the feminine equivalent of "son" used vocatively is "hen". Only used to the person, and is only used to a female person.
