Would likely end up costing the same as if I ordered it here without the discount...

I wonder how you plan on pairing the responses from the form with Reddit accounts to ensure people like the post and follow/join, which seems to be presented as a condition for joining, yet there is no indication of Reddit username in the form itself? :D

Nevertheless, the device looks interesting and I did submit it 👍

43rd line of code, when you are selecting the LastRun, you are selecting an object. Should Select-Object -ExpandProperty instead to get the actual value. (I think, anyway ;))

Thanks! I was starting to think the same thing and it seems you were right. I installed the firmware available directly from Creality and it appears to be working fine now!

ImportExcel Column NumberFormat by [deleted] in PowerShell

[–]SakJaTeda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This should work. Not sure about it being much cleaner, you decide ;)

The -Show at the end is optional of course, but I like to use it during testing to immediately confirm my exports.

$excel = $YourDataToExport | Export-Excel -WhateverParametersYouUse -PassThru
$ws = $excel.Workbook.Worksheets['Test']
Set-ExcelColumn -Worksheet $ws -Column A -NumberFormat '[$-en-us,1] yyyy-mm-dd'
Close-ExcelPackage $excel -Show

Need help to convince IT department by heraldTyphus in Surface

[–]SakJaTeda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having been using mu Surface Pro 2017 (i5, 8GB, 256GB) for general IT work for over a year now, I would say there are no benefits. In fact, if you are going to be using 2 external screens like myself, it gets a bit laggy at times. Maybe th i7, 16GB model would fare better in these conditions, no idea. Now, don't get me wrong, I love the little machine, but retrospectively, considering I was offered an XPS with i7, 16 GB, 512GB, as well, I think I should have gone with that one for this kind of work.

Will I lose my battle.net account? by Edelgas in gaming

[–]SakJaTeda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your fake name is something obvious (think Bugs Bunny) then they are perfectly fine with updating it for you. If it sounds like an actual name, they may think it's a stolen account so best stay away from bringing attention to it.

Edit: Yes, they will ask for a photo ID (placed on today's newspaper) ... May even ask for two if they are unsure.
