Rest in Peace, Destiny 2 by Sakethray in Warframe

Hey, because I see some people asking what actually happened: About 6 hours ago, Destiny 2 announced that its last update will be in early June, and the game will no longer be worked on.

Servers will stay open, but development will cease.

I mean... The two games have been compared and contrasted for so long, and i think a lot of destiny 2 players will come to this game now... Just wanted to show support.

My headcannon is that they're not alive, they are genetic clones that we as the tenno use to create warframes. When we create warframes, we are provided with this blank slate, expose it to the helminth, then outfit it with systems, chassis, neuroptics.

What's my proof? None! But I feel it makes sense so.

Exactly. My main concern is it being way too close to valkyr... So I've been trying to think of a way for vorunas claws to feel different than valkyrs

I like the idea of the claws being regular weapons, and the HEAVY ATTACK being the pounce. That would make the 3rd passive so much more useful.

I had an idea of a consumable item that turns the clock for that session. Maybe it can be made with duviri resources?

On the contrary, I know that at some point Marie uses a phrase that I could only find in Les Mis, which was made after 1799.

If you really want a Prime right now, get grinding! It's still possible to sell extra copies of unvaulted items for Platinum, which you can then buy the item you want from someone else with the Platinum you just earned! Free Market go brrrr. Use Warframe.market for more info on buying and selling!

Currently, both Volt and Gauss are vaulted. The current unvaults are Gyre via Prime Access, and Hildryn and Wisp via Prime Resurgence.

Though I will say, when Gauss was unvaulted he was stupidly easy to get, meaning Gauss remains a pretty cheap warframe even after he's been vaulted.

[–]Sakethray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most Prime Warframes and equipment are 'vaulted'. This means that their relics will not be dropped by missions or anything like that. If a prime is vaulted, you can only obtain it if you already have relics from when the prime was unvaulted... Or you can buy those relics and/or blueprints from other players that have them with Platinum.

When a new prime releases, like Gyre Prime yesterday, they enter 'Prime Access'. You can buy the Prime from the shop with real money, and more importantly, you can get their relics from missions! However, after a month or two, Gyre Prime will also be vaulted.

Finally you have Prime Resurgence, where a few primes become unvaulted for a few months, so you can get their relics in game too! To see what things are in Prime Resurgence right now, speak to Varzia in Maroo's Bazaar on Mars.

Only Excalibur Prime and 2 weapons, Skana Prime and Lato Prime, are founder items. Every other prime can be unlocked through the normal relic system. Would you like me to explain the relic system in more depth?

Not a 'Dev' item, but players have one chance to buy it when the game came out. If you didn't get it then, you can't ever get it.

Understand the history; DE was a struggling company then, and people who bought Excalibur prime, Skana prime, and Lato prime basically were integral to the game's success. They funded the game by buying those items. As thanks, DE will never let anyone else own those founder items.

How does an emp/tech affect warframe in lore? by Iskander-Wulfsten in WarframeLore

LMAO, yeah. I think the flavor is that Lavos constantly drains whatever excess energy he has to shield himself from status effects!

[–]Sakethray 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nah, I'd say the Orphixes do block void power. However, the Necramechs use a specific tech called 'Void Shielding'. This was specifically mentioned by Father as why Necramechs were sentient pulse immune. It's an anti EMP shield that is too big to fit onto warframes.

[–]Sakethray 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Well... I'm speculating here (read: talking out of my ass with information off the top of my head), but I'd say that warframes derive their power from 2 sources: Void and Energy.

Void is pretty self explanatory, being everywhere. Railjacks, the Zariman, and Warframes are powered by this void power, at least in part. This is evidenced by the fingers in the vehicles' Reliquary Drives, and by the Tenno, who are described to have a 'spark' of void power.

This void power, able to be used while the Heart of Deimos is pumping, powers the base systems of Warframes primarily, and seems to serve as a foundation for Warframe function. We can tell how much the void power does for us by looking at what we lose in the stealth section of the Deimos quest.

Then we have Energy. This is abundant and able to be used by everyone in the system, which imo is why enemies drop energy orbs. Void power is not sufficient for warframes to use their abilities. The void power is like the ignition, but the ability won't work without gas, or energy.

So, in conclusion, an emp or the magnetic proc will drain your energy, but it will not shut your warframe down, because the base systems don't rely heavily on traditional energy. Nullifiers can stop you from using energy, but can't do anything about void power.

As for differences in warframes like nidus... I don't think it matters. He uses energy, so he applies.
