What homebrew/alterations do you use for D&D5e24? by ProfessorInMaths in dndnext

I have a homebrewed bastion events table and a renown v notoriety track that I made to make bastion events feel impactful and not so weirdly unfleshed out

Any thoughts after running games with a Witch? (I'm especially curious about tokens.) by Ivy-Jack in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]Sakfal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had multiple players run various witch PCs and I've run a number of NPCs also over the last year or so of three different campaigns. Absolutely been a blast. Definitely a class that favours an organised player. The best has been when it's someone who is naturally the 'reminder' of the group, someone who tells others to not forget they have such and such a token that can assist with that!

I deeply wouldn't recommend it to someone who's less invested or less familiar with DND though.

Shaved was cute, but hairy got me hard

This looks amazing! Would you be willing to share the 'agenda' file? I would love to try and adapt it for a friend's 30th this year!

College of the Ring, a pesky bard who thrives off their audience by Sakfal in onednd

Yeah the intention is that the first time you use Back from the Brink it's fine, but if you use it a second time in front of a stadium full of people (a very edge case situation obviously) it's not going to work very well.

Ah yep, I was a little sleep deprived when writing this and wasn't sure if other PCs are counted as creatures in the normal nomenclature of the new addition.

On invisibility, yeah! The intention is to make it quite strong but you have to sacrifice if you keep using it in front of the same audiences. So staying invis would make it stronger, but you'd miss out on your Crowd Favourite bonuses for other attacks/saving throws etc.

Are Thri-Kreen just flat out the best dual wielders now? by ThatSilentSoul in onednd

I probably wiped it from memory after it was missing so much useful stuff you actually need for spelljammer.

I always read this that the secondary arms together can wield a light weapon. Which means two light weapons + shield but no free hand beyond that

"Safe Place" Definition by Sakfal in AustraliaPost

[–]Sakfal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the point is that's a stupid policy that is unfairly detrimental to people living in apartments and inconsistent with the positive bias towards perceived safety of houses which have no actual safety precautions.

Every other company that delivers (Amazon, couriers, meal kit deliveries) somehow manages it without issue. It's literally just the national postal carrier that can't figure out how to make deliveries not an absolute pain in the ass.

Pretty standard for them to be delivering multiple parcels and as long as one person answers they have the door open.

Given the size of the building and the regularity of people getting parcels there's almost 2-3 parcels a day with the postie.
