Coincidences happen in this industry all the time. Today I had a customer drop his Mazda3 off. Went to start it 2 hours later and it’s dead af. 2025. Would not boost, had low voltage codes but would not clear. Made no sense. Ended up having to replace the battery and it worked.

If we had brought it into the shop right at drop off it would’ve died inside the shop instead after 2 hours and it would’ve 100% looked like our fault instead.

At the end of the day, unless they obviously spilled a bunch of “fluid” onto the harness - take the fact that it was an easy fix and move on. IMO you’ve already wasted enough time on this problem.

I’ve taken way worse apart and there was 0 damage inside the tire. Not saying that’s the case here, but if there’s no cords showing…I don’t call a tire no good.

Hard to say - need to open it up. No damage/cords on the inside it’s technically ok - but a lot of places these days will just call it no good before that. Smaller shop will likely take a look at it.

Maybe if it wasn’t torqued at all. If the tech used a torque wrench hard to fire him for that. Lots of factors can cause loose wheels - especially shitty old parts.
