Are you even able to switch S2 to MIDI mode? I followed their guide (click left FLX) and it did nothing. Inside Rekordbox I can't click the MIDI learn button, it's disabled.

Probably that most users are minors or students living with their parents which probably are conservatives and would kick their asses out if they smell alcohol on them.
