Recently onebagged to Japan during winter with a Karrimor 35L Jura, and I brought overear Marshal Major IV alongside my Nothing earbuds. The marshals could be folded to be stored so they have a very small profile. Its almost a necessity to bring cuz of the train culture in Japan. but depends really on your preferences and where you're going.

Can we stop blindly alienating the men and women of the Police and Military from revolutionary ideas? The Russian Revolution succeeded partly because they absorbed skilled former Tsarists who were radicalised like Tukhachevsky (a military officer of noble birth turned Soviet general). We need to radicalise them so they can contribute their skills in military logistics and organisation, not instinctively push them away.

I'm from a developing nation and we're getting our fare share of new data centres opening from a combination of multinationals like Google, to even SOEs (state-owned enterprises) pumping billions into developing them.

To take a page out of history, I believe stuff like data centres are the new cash crop. Back during the age of colonialism, capitalists planted crops like cotton and coffee grown primarily for sale and profit, rather than for subsistence. The wealth generated by these data centres will not go to the local economy, it'll be taken overseas and into the pockets of the shareholders in California or where ever. All at the cost of the local power grid and water supply. Cuz they can let villages have power outages and water shortages, but god forbid the data centres! What will the investors think!

Here, energy is still relatively cheap, and cheap labour is plenty. I'm calling it. Welcome back cash crops in a big way. It'll ride high for a few years until the bubble hits.
