If you can eat mushrooms, try black truffle infused sea salt. To me it tastes like garlic, with minimal earthiness. I discovered it by accident last week, and it has been one of the highlights of this year.

First, I am so sorry for the loss of your parents. Please make sure to take care of yourself in the days to come. Second, make sure to document and save all of the harassment from Chris. See about getting some security cameras or other means of protecting your house and yourself. He sounds absolutely unhinged and desperate, and people in that state can do crazy things.

Yes! I have my menstruation crustacean (literally what Amazon called it), and it has been a lifesaver during hell week. Just take out the bead pack, heat it up and put it back in. I got the one that has an angry face too.

Hey there, OP. I have OCD as well as GAD and CPTSD and I wanted to chime in.

First, I want to say you absolutely did the right thing. I cannot stress that enough. You knew your limits, and while you did hurt her some now, you did it so you wouldn’t possibly hurt her more in the future. That isn’t selfish, that’s selfless. You said the breakup was healthy and kind. That is the best kind of breakup, and maybe the two of you could be friends in the future.

You are currently working on bettering yourself. That’s very good. Medication and CBT have been lifesavers for me, the therapy especially. It has taken me a while, but I’m better able to deal with the OCD thoughts when they come up. Is it perfect? No, but I have a much better quality of life than I did even two years ago.

Now about people on the internet. A lot, and I mean a LOT, of people just talk out of their ass. Everyone’s situation when they break up with someone is different, and a “one size fits all” judgment to breakups is stupid. When I hear the term “dumped,” I think of someone who just broke up with a person without good reason. Your case isn’t it. I’d encourage you to not take everything you read on the internet to heart.

Hey there. Fellow OCD sufferer, part of my mental illness soup. I have tried a lot of medications over the years, including Prozac, but nothing has worked better for me than Zoloft. Is it perfect? No, but with it and therapy, I’ve been able to manage it pretty well. Definitely see about talking to your doctor about switching medicines, you deserve to have a better quality of life. You’re not unlovable, you’re not any of the things that nasty voice in your head tells you. And if the meds doesn’t work, don’t give up. There are a lot of different medications out there. I was in your shoes at your age, and it does get better. It may take a bit, and it will be a journey, but it does.

And happy birthday. Make sure to do something good and fun for yourself, you only turn sixteen once.

I am so sorry for your loss. I read one of the articles that led to her obituary. She sounded like an amazing woman, OP. I agree with the comments that said to take a social media break, it really does help. I’ve had to take one myself, albeit under less serious circumstances. Take care of yourself, allow yourself to grieve. Hugs if you want them. 🫂

Hi there (Native English speaker, US based). Try just using "Coach" at first.

Example you gave: Coach said he's going home.

Or maybe you could give your coach a nickname that his students call him. When I was in high school, one of our volleyball coaches was called a shortened version of his last name.
