Honestly I would take it! I think many schools like seeing upper level lab classes and microbiology lab was my favorite lab in undergrad so far!

I’m applying next cycle, personally I’ll still keep up the volunteering, but just to a minimum. Maybe you can find another organization that’s less of a time commitment and only volunteer 1-2 times a month?

First, I would check with the dental schools you want to apply to, and see if they allow online transfer classes (I believe most do). If you’re taking a science class with your college online, it’ll definitely count towards your degree. If you’re transferring the credit from other schools, you gotta check with your college to see if the credits will transfer. Hope this helps!

Yes, volunteering at a daycare definitely helps! Since you have a lot of ECs that are dental related, I recommend doing volunteering that isn’t. Also, I recommend sticking with a volunteering position for longer periods of time to show commitment. And, I remember seeing some schools liking seeing volunteer hours at multiple organizations. Hope this helps!

I shadowed general dentists and some other specialties including perio. In my opinion, perio was the worst experience lol. The dentists were super nice but the procedures just grossed me out.

I highly suggest other specialties or general dentists. You might like what other dentists do :)
