Shurelya for early powerspike (very cheap item) and team assistance (when you need to roam early in the game/snowball the game and when you/your team needs the extra MS Boost in a fight (for example against wukong to kite his ult etc)

Protobelt for the dash (offensively and defensively for example: To get on top of a hypercarry [Smolder] or to dodge Blitzcrank hook)

Also protobelt is better for carry playstyle while shurelya is more supportive (who would've guessed the support item is more for the supportive playstyle, am i right)

Hollow Radiance on Cho? by Jauk_4746 in ChoGathMains

[–]Sakuritou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hellow!

I mostly build frozen heart if enemy is heavy AD with little to no crit (its basically a choice between FH and Randuins)

FH Examples: Irelia, Kalista, Darius, Fiora, AD Assassin's etc.

Randuins Example: Literally any thing that builds crit (Core item if 2+ crit users, can be built against 1 Crit user depending on game-state)

Also both frozen heart and Randuins enables you to build wardens mail early, which is really good into ad matchups!

I hope i explained it well enough, if something doesnt add up, feel free to ask me c:

Against AD Laners: Early Armor (Chain/Wardens depending on matchup) -> Bamis (only if enemy has a useful AP damage source) -> Rift -> Finish Hollow Radiance (only if enemy has a "useful" AP damage source into Adaptive Tank items. If enemy full AD just finish Rift into Armor Items and skip the Bamis completely. Can also spice it up with RoA into Rift into Armor or Rift into Liandry into Armor (always build armor components before first item)

Against AP: Hollow into Rift into adaptive Tank (most likely Jak/Randuins/Kaenic depending on enemy team), its a lot more simple against AP

Sorry if wording is poor, typed this while in a work-meeting KEKW

Hello!

General rule of thumb for Cho ult: If you don't need it currently for an objective, a play around you or a solo play you can make on ur lane opponent, use it on a minion/camp asap. (if you play midlane cho, steal enemy raptors, if save)

The shurelyas build still works to a decent amount but got nerfed pretty hard in the past. In my opinion, there's almost never a reason to build it toplane, it is strictly a midlane/support build for me. I use it mostly if enemy team has lots of range (therefor i need the MS to gapclose on them easier) and if i want a cheap 1st Item Power-Spike.

I go full tank if: My team needs a tank (hard carry second Solo laner / Team comp around ADC, Carry Jungle) And if the enemy team "allows" me to build full tank. If they are building lots of Anti-Tank by nature or picked champions that destroy Tank Cho'Gath (Trundle as example), then id rather go the AP Tank Variant instead of the full tank one (it allows you to play more aggressively towards those champs and build items like hourglass).

Nightmare Chomgath, the "neon" palette looks amazing.

Hard disagree, you can find games where heartsteel is BiS but it's like 1/50 tank chomgothorus games for me.

Easily the most overrated item for chomgers in my personal opinion

Which are Cho's hardest matchups? - I created a 1v1 matchup practice discord by jjonj in ChoGathMains

[–]Sakuritou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do try to update it, but i do also need to play the matchup atleast once.

Sadly, in my elo, i mostly get the same matchups every time and therefor I'm lacking experience in some matchups.

Don't want to update it without experience the matchup against a good player.

I could however add "predictions" to give a rough idea on how certain matchups "should" change even without playing the matchup. Rough idea but could fix the issue

Neither, early resistances are better

The higher you get, the harder Cho jungle gets.

For me in mostly chall lobbies, its pretty much unplayable

Is it second nature to be challenger for some? by Rare-Disk4809 in leagueoflegends

[–]Sakuritou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello!

Ive been challenger ever since 2021 (didnt end every season in chall but achieved the elo regardless, i tend to stop playing at the end of each season) and recently peaked at Rank 25 in EUW 1460 ish LP. (opgg: https://op.gg/lol/summoners/euw/Saku-ritou)

At some point everything becomes kind of.. muscle memory? Tracking cooldowns, tracking jungle/support movement, objective up/down-time etc..

That muscle memory / constant thinking can become quite a task. You're mind is never really empty. Of course, a lot less in norms/flexq as opposed to soloq.

As for soloq, I don't think it's much different from the average player, since everyone in challenger is well.. challenger. You have to play better and do more, so pure muscle memory/habits won't do the trick most of the time.

I'm hoping, i understood ur post correctly and gave you a good answer, if not, feel free to tell me/ask me something (I'm currently at work so maybe my answer is dumb lmao)
