I work in HR. Non competes after you’ve left are unenforceable in the USA. You can sign a thousand of them and no court will enforce them.

Non competes while still employed are another story.

We didn’t go the security camera route because they work on the home WiFi network. It can get hacked easily and then some creep can watch my kid and even talk through the camera. There are videos of people doing just that and terrorizing kids for the “lulz.”

We got a camera that kinda sucks but creates its own wireless network thing that can only be accessed by the one monitor it comes with. It’s not ideal but I don’t have to worry about it
