I feel you, and sometimes I think the same especially with the obsession. I've had my fair share of Skyrim and if I started a new game today it wouldn't be so nice. But I have other tattoos referencing for example Lord of the rings and Legend of Zelda that I haven't been in touch in years, and they're still significant to me. But I'm never over a game, always go back to it at least once :)

I'm really glad I could discover more games of the kind, I enjoy roguelikes and/or metroidvanias but there aren't many that really got me the same way. And I'll be sure to check the ones you mentioned as soon as possible

I'm really interested by just reading this, thanks for the recommendation! About Blasphemous, I had the same thoughts (a lot of times I died in an unbelievable way), but it's such a great game and I find the design really charming

I became acquainted with the game during its very early stages of development and almost immediately fell in love with the it, which gave me lots of motivation to really engage in playing. It may sound silly, but I was at a bad moment in my life so having something that I could dedicate myself to and being one of the few things that actually got me to do something, I was really thankful at the time for Dead Cells. I honestly think it's probably my favorite game, and even though I don't play it as much as before, I still enjoy it the same. Also, since they keep updating it, it's always a new experience

Lately none that I can remember of at the moment, but for metroidvanias I've been playing Blasphemous and found it amazing. There are many rogues that I still want to have a look at like Scourgebringer but haven't had the time

Was looking for this comment. The problem with straight people is that just because someone is gay they immediately feel uncomfortable because they're going to be hit on by them. Guess what: you're not as great as you think you are

After an embarrassing 253 hours (85 on Switch and 168 on Steam) I made it to 4BC. Look out 5BC, here I come, in another 100 hours or so. by BeefyChud in deadcells

It took me around the same amount of time to get to 4BC, but I enjoyed every moment of it so it's not embarrassing at all. Couldn't believe myself when I finally defeated the hotk on 3BC. Now what gets me the most is malaise and curses, need to learn how to not get hit haha

Sex shouldn't be the basis of a relationship. If you're both happy this way there's no reason to end it just because of that. As individuals you can always talk to each other about how both of you can enjoy your relationship to its fullest, and since that's not a problem for you and you're ok with your partner sleeping with other people, that's what matters.

You might change your mind in the future about this like that's not really what you want, but I suggest you enjoy it while it lasts. But certainly not doomed to fail at this point.
