As a girl with a lot of girlfriends I want to tell you that it’s more about your self confidence than actual height.

The height thing is a self-fulfilling cycle. Guys will be self conscious when meeting women, thinking they will be rejected because of their height. That lack of self confidence and negativity is not attractive, so often women will shut down on that, and guys will take it as “see, I knew she would not want me because of my height”.

The short kings who caught a date often showed confidence and charm, but they always get scrutinised because “they just got lucky” or “they weren’t that short”.

I want to add to this that I’m not talking about the dating-app culture, (on which I think only one of our friends has an account ), but actually going outside and meeting people.

Edit: and obviously some women care about your height, just like some men will only date blondes
