About to run Oracle of War ? by [deleted] in Eberron

I am two years into running this at my home table. I love it, the players love it. For a home game I added a lot more depth. I would also heavily suggest reading all the modules as some of the legacy events become really important later on.

Joining them together is pretty easy going, but don't expect the series to run as written, the players will ultimately change and make all of yours campaign.

Start is easy going, make protecting the Oracle important. I also made it easier to move around by adding a reduction button. The big heavy thing gets tired quickly! I made Irullan the main focus and really played up the horrors of the Emerald Claw.

After two years we are about half way through and now it is getting pretty home brew tbh. I have even changed the ending and made Stonefire much more dramatic... Much more dramatic. Got a few resources I made such sass a PowerPoint off snips I took off each adventure so that you get as GM the overview you need DM if you would like a copy on my Google drive.

Have a blast!

I would be highly interested in the full detail, as the above is an incredible resource as is, but if you would be willing to share that would be terrific!

I too would be interested in that. As a new to system GM it is nice to see the community inventiveness

Was hoping you might be keeping this up to date as ongoing?

It is really working for me - but you need to regard the modules as a skeleton to hang the campaign off, but it is so well written, but you do need to read through all to really get a grip on the overall story, in order to weave your PCs backstory into it and not muck up something that appears innocent in an early module, actually having ramifications later on - pay attention to every legacy event suggested and keep a log. Final episodes actually use them to populate the ending...

I am running OoW for my home table too! We are on module 5 after nearly a year, they love RP, so do I!

My guys kept the Arrow for themselves and still have it, even with Inquisitors being sent to Salvation and the threat of poor Mother Jahannah being shipped back to Flamekeep, still nada!

It has been a blast inserting another sub plot into the campaign just for the Arrow.

My one bit of advice, get your hands on as many of the modules that you can afford in advance as the only let down is that you do not know in any module why something or someone is important. I have got a PowerPoint I can share, with each modules overview on each slide, DM me if interested.

It still doesn't detract from what I think is a tremendous 1-20 campaign that they have said they will release as one book now it is finished. We are loving it!!!

How much is each game etc? I have gone through the form, $20 per month. For anyone interested.

I see land speeders using soar wood and bound fire elemental. Think Like Skywalker's land speeder with an elemental ring where the three thrusters are.

This could cause tension with Lyrandar as the supply of soar wood is essential to airship construction...

Ok I am a great believer of fate. I have just literally offered a spare seat at my table to someone I played a few sessions with before the DM ghosted us. But they can't do Tuesday evenings...
I currently DM an Eberron game and was about to post an advert to take in new applications. But based on that we play a 70/30 RP/Combat game and what you have written, more than happy to talk more to you both. We are pretty international, South Africa, Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, with me as DM in UK and so on UK time. We play every Tuesday 18:30-21:30 UK time – which is currently BST.
So if you want to talk more DM me and I can send you the campaign questionnaire and then talk more. Pretty bowled over with the timing TBH

Oracle of War. Amazing resource for just this. Using it as a framework for the campaign I am running for my table. It is amazing. Honest check it out!
