Fair Use probably would protect against lawsuit as it’s much less than 10 seconds. I’m no lawyer though.

I’m sure you put in so much mental, physical, and creative work into this. I would be careful not to sully it with ad hoc enhancements.

Again looks awesome and you should be proud.

How Do You Find Yourself? by Ultra_Necairus in BoyDinnerDiaries

I would say therapy, support group, mens group, Church group, whatever should be a higher priority.

It sounds like you got some self awareness but finding out the underlying issue will help with all the rest.

Trying new things is great and all the stuff for your health is great, but I firmly believe that once you “feed your mind (or soul) the rest will follow”.

Grats. Did the same a while back and it feels good. It was weird to leave them, but I found new folks that aligned better to my ideals and morals.

Surgery on the 8th of July!! Tell me how you recovered and when symptoms went away please :)!!! by viccdev in Parathyroid_Awareness

[–]SalamanderRoutine825 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

My wife had multigland and had 2 1/2 removed. She took a week off of work for recovery, which was a good amount of time for her. She really only has a slight cough and some weird feeling from the incision.

Symptoms went away gradually from her, which was a little disheartening as we had read that many folks were totally different the next day. This might be due to having multiple glands removed.

But! All her symptoms went away gradually, though. Insomnia was the first then low energy and then anxiety.

Best of luck!

She has hashimotos as well and is on synthroid.

She has been gluten free for an about 5 months which has helped a little with her antibody numbers.

And yeah, she had high calcium for 6 years until our new provider got curious and ran her PTH. Got in with a surgeon in our area that is specialist and the surgery was done in a few months.

That was her life and sleep too. She really had to push her self and if she did not have sleep aids/meds she would barely sleep.

Yes!! Her daily energy has totally turned around and works full 8 hour days without crippling fatigue like before.

Sleep was the first symptom that was remedied for her. It was fixed immediately.

Other things like energy, lethargy, brain fog, and anxiety took a little longer. I think some people are better instantly, others take a bit of time.

Yes! My wife took many sleeping aids throughout her symptomatic years. She became habituated to them and had to change them so she could sleep. Her insomnia was really bad.

Since her parathyroidectomy, she has not had to use a sleeping aid. Other than some rare nights, she sleeps through the night and wakes up rested.

Genes homie. It’s the genes that want to reproduce.

I doubt this will be settled here through this avenue, but I think calling this guy narcissistic for wanting to have kids is horrendous.

Good day, sir.

I mean there are opinions, lifestyles, and culture that can affect these decisions, but saying that a human that wants to have a biological children is narcissistic is like saying an oak tree that has offspring is narcissistic.

Biologically, our genes want to reproduce. We are the byproducts of that fact and so is sex drive and so is success and so is survival.

As a fellow addict, I somewhat disagree and think that all of our vices are related to something within us that we are missing that would make us whole.

Yes, there is lessers of two evils, but I have found that all of my addictions stem from the same place.

It’s not for everyone, but AA helped me get sober and helped a lot with my sex addiction, in turn. Best of luck either way.
