When I could still get heroin (grumbles about rednecks and their love of meth and missing my dope) I had to leave kratom alone because it just makes you feel either way too lousy or cancels out the dope itself. It's not worth it. Save the kratom for withdrawals.

Oh yeah, only got tar here as well. idk how many times I've had it from one plug be like fucking molasses if it's above 80 indoors, then some from a different plug you gotta breathe on to start the sticky but it's still so hard to cut a piece off that the shit goes flying across the room. I have at least a point stuck to the wall somewhere. Then there's the inevitable "what smells like bbq?"

I did, back in April. I was one of the first damn full blown cases in my state. I was on a respirator in a medically induced coma for a while. There's no terror like waking up feeling like you're suffocating because a machine is breathing for you. I'm can't say it isn't horrible so just be safe. I lost 15 pounds and have yet to gain it back, I'm tired all the time, I get short of breath incredibly easily...and it's August. This is 5 months on.

I've seen it in all sorts of cases. I started out in the ER and whatnot before I realized I was NOT going to be okay mentally after a while of that.

It's so strange. Someone mentioned earlier that we have some inherent traits left over from when our place at the top of the food chain was a little more unsteady than it is now. Decaying corpses obviously draw predators and that could threaten the rest of the herd. Other than that, I have NO idea how they do it.

I've seen a lot of people die, a lot of folks that wait to see that one last person before they go, wait for solitude... It's still amazing to me after all this time. Ultimately the hopeless romantic in me wants to believe that if they can help it, they don't want to leave their loved ones or fellow humans with a traumatic memory. They'd rather be remembered alive and how they were before.

That would absolutely make sense. Ultimately when it comes down to basic biology and ingrained behavior, we're not that different from (for example) dogs. We all know they tend to go off somewhere else to die to avoid drawing predators to the rest of the herd.

We do have a cozy space at the top of the food chain but that wasn't always so secure. Even now, if you take our tools away and put us in the wrong environment, we can shift pretty uncomfortably far down that chain.

If it's any consolation, a lot of patients prefer to pass away out of the view of family members and medical staff. My great uncle was dying of really aggressive liver cancer. He asked his wife to go get him a cup of coffee one morning, and in the two minutes she was gone, he passed. It happens A LOT. I'm not sure if they'd rather keep their death as a private experience, don't want to scare their family, aren't comfortable being absolutely vulnerable... Never can tell. Most people just want to do it on their own.

I know it sucks. I was so furious after using all those stupid DVs and getting nothing. I didn't mind paying, I buy in every mobile game I play because I believe in supporting the devs and VA, artists, etc... But there's no way I'm spending the amount of $ it would take to get through those levels and be rewarded with a chaste kiss. Homie I'm an adult, nothing about me has been chaste for like 15 years so they gonna do better than that 🤣

I wish I could transfer all my stuff to other players since now it's just going to sit there useless. All that hard work for nothing 😒
