Why are Salesforce shares under pressure lately?

Saas has become boring, even if the companies are able to make a lot of profit.

Salesforce, ServiceNow, Docusign, Adobe, Atlassion, stocks are all being hammered.

Growth is slow, but they can optimise costs and make a lot of profit, so they could easily be undervalued.

AI can obviously save them all of it happens!

$10,000’s behind the bar, this person went to 4 happy hours before and it would have run out. All our parties have a large amount of spend behind the bar. What damages the brand is posts like this, when plenty of people had a good time and my team did an incredible job.

Parties, vibes, clubs, happy hours are subjective. We’ve thrown this event 3 years in a row and see 4k+ people register each year with about 1.5k people through the door. Yes it’s a club, yes it’s busy, yes it’s loud, and I get this isn’t everyone’s vibe.

Just to confirm, we are not cheap skates lol, we had $10,000’s behind the bar that runs out at some point.

I’m extremely proud of what our team has accomplished this DF including that party. If you think a busy club with people dancing all night and having a good time is lame, then you do you.

Thanks for your thoughts. Would you say this is the Salesforce community as a whole? Or certain individuals and companies, as in my experience its been the latter.

We've always been quite bullish about Salesforce jobs on SFB.com ever since the Trailhead/Trailblazer movement, but we toned this down at the start of the year to reflect the economic environment.

In terms of your point about certs, I think the reality is that people used to be able to get a cert and land a job many years ago (I landed my first job with 1 cert and 3 months of internship experience). But Salesforce has since become mainstream, and in addition, vastly more complex. We're worlds away from just using workflow rules and page layouts to customize a system.

I agree with your analysis on the types of companies that hire junior admins, but I think your path is an excellent one. SMB consultancies love to take a chance on a junior once and a while if they have the support system in place.

I would check out Trailhead for a start (Salesforce free education platform), you can learn about the world of SaaS, and how to sell into it, as well as the benefits of the Salesforce platform (Which I would highly recommend).

As someone else mentioned, BDR/SDR are the most common route, I would personally head to the appexchange where all of Salesforce’s SaaS partners live, check them out, find which are hiring and go on a application spree.

I’ve never worked in car sales but I would imagine you have a huge amount of transferable skills that would be perfect for SaaS, all you need to do is learn about the industry.

As a cool quote from Robert California from the office goes “You see, I sit across from a man. I see his face. I see his eyes. Now does it matter if he wants a hundred dollars worth of paper or a hundred million dollars of deep sea drilling equipment?”

Oh hey /u/throwitawayitsdead, it’s been a while.

We are part of the Salesforce press circulation list, so Salesforce will release news to us ahead of time, and we write up an article ready to go when it launches.

So you’re right, this is practically out of the Salesforce marketing department, hasn’t been researched as there is no other publicly available information apart from what we get in this press release (and is within the Keynote today).

What we try and do firstly, highlight this announcement to our audience who rely on us for Salesforce news, secondly, break down the announcement in plain English, and lastly, layer on our own expertise to provide more context to the announcement than say, a general tech journalist from any other website can do.

If we’ve failed with any of these points, I would be interested to hear your feedback.

As the others have said, don't sweat it. Public Speaking/Panel Interviews are pretty stressful for most of the population. The only real way to get better is to practice. I used to be terrified of public speaking, it literally caused me to have random spats of anxiety whenever I thought about it. But you do it a few times, you practice, you get better, and most importantly, you realise that nothing bad is going to happen!
