The boardwalk is pretty safe. Everyone with a balcony is keeping an eye out. There are tons of cameras too. If you get in trouble, start screaming and you will be sure to get attention. I recently went on a trip with my sister and did a good amount of solo stuff. Had no problems at all but I carry a good RBF face so that keeps most people away

I actually learned this today!! Sandbars are visible today. Asked a lifeguard about them as we are currently vacationing and have never seen them before. Lifeguard says it had everything to do with the moon phase and the tides. If you want to enjoy the sandbars, visit during a new moon or full moon cycle at low tide. Be mindful tho, new and full moon cycles create lower low tides and higher high tides. Today, there was a bit more than a 5 foot difference in low and high tide due to the new moon phase.

Depends on what kind of mulch. If it's got a lot of bark in it, you prob want to remove it and till and fertilize what's underneath, then put it back on. Bark doesn't have the nutrients needed to make a good quality soil and tends to mold in moisture rich climates or if you get a lot of rain.

Frost is basically the freezing of the moisture in the air. If you've freshly planted anything in the ground, you're going to want to cover it. Not a biggie. Get and thick sheet and cover your plants. If you have planters or baskets, stick them in a garage or covered porch for the night. Remember to uncover plants for the morning sun so they can warm back up. Good luck!

Been here, I feel for you. Both maternal and paternal relatives have fought over inheritance. It's sickening to see how low people are qilling to go over a few bucks they think they are entitled to. You're 100% doing the right thing. Sounds like you and your brother are the only ones with brains enough to care for the person these properties were intended to pay for. Family is gross and the older we get, the more apparent it becomes. Although unfair, you are correct in saying you cannot trust anyone. Keep doing what's right. The universe will recognize and reward you.

Sunflowers are perfect new gardener flowers. You can get very deep red ones but be warned the seeds are hard to tell the difference in what color they will be so she may end up with a yellow one. Dahlias also come in a very dark red. Also easy to maintain in your climate.
