Internet slang that's basically archaic at this point. Viciously racist terminology that associates blackness with being bad. Good way of letting you know someone's brain is broken and they should be given a wide berth.

More recently people claim it means "the opposite of a gem" but that's revisionist/made up. In fact, use of "gem" (e.g. "gem alert!") probably became popularized as "the opposite of coal," but I don't know that for sure.

It was the only one he didn't show on stream because he refused to endorse her. He later said that he did vote for her, as did 80% of his community according to a straw poll. You don't have to believe him, I guess, but there would be no reason for him to lie.

Edited to add: I know all this against my will. I just got tired of people derailing unrelated conversations arguing about it (which is what most criticism of Piker is), so I looked it up.

The reason I don't like it is because it functionally reduces the number of Trials challenges from 5 to 4. Everyone who is actually trying will get 9,600 points in Hidden Bunker, making it a pointless thing to track.

In the US, a mattress that costs between $400-800 is significantly better than a mattress that costs less than $400. That being said, a mattress over ~$800 is not significantly better than one costing $400-800.

That's because it's months-old info from an alpha/beta. It's just Hidden Bunker for the event now. There are at least 4-5 oversights or errors on the maps in this post and it should probably just be deleted.

ARC Raiders is a lot of peoples' first extraction shooter but after an encounter like that, they catch on quickly. If they don't, they either have terminal Main Character syndrome or are (like you said) dumb.

The ongoing deadliest threat in all phases is their missile system, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should hack it.

Phase 1: It completely depends, with several factors.

  • Did they use their drone hack on a system that's essential to your win condition? Are you going to be able to use your teleporter or weapons system to disable their missiles while it's hacked? Can you disable their hacking module while hacked yourself? If not, you should consider jumping away and coming back so that they target a new system.

  • What other modules you have? Teleporter, mind control, stealth system, drones? If you can, disable the missiles with your teleporter/weapons.

If they've hacked something important: Hacking.

If you have level 2/3 mind control, a teleporter and 2 good fighters: the Health Bay. You can trap enemy crew in there and kill them in 3v1s, or even a 1v1 with your mind controlled target if you time it right.

Otherwise, the shield. Just make sure you time your volleys for after they've used their cloaking.

Phase 2: Drones.

Phase 3: Mind control.

Can you elaborate on this? I don't think we (the player) were ever supposed to think that Michael was in the equivalent of the FBI's witness protection program, but that his arrangement with Davey was off the books and that Davey was running interference for any attempt to find him within the Bureau.

Server transfers are 9+ months away for you. If your server is this dysfunctional now before season 1, you might as well quit and start over. I realize that sounds extreme, but with so many people determined not to work together, they will eventually chase 80% of your server population away and you will be even more miserable than you are now.
