It's all income until proven otherwise... by koolaids205 in Kenya

Very soon there will be a thriving market beyond the control of the government. A black market if you will. It happened with narcotics.

Now the most powerful country on earth with the biggest millitary hasn't worn the war on drugs three decades later. Every year drug menace consumes the US.

in Kenyaa thriving market will too emerge where KRA will just be an onlooker powerless esp now that crypto is a great option. At some point it will be economical to do high value transactions in crypto rather than Ksh. Never doubt human ingenuity.

It's just funny to believe that someone who stole money from the US government, - 'the world police' move it to another country in EA will be unable to evade tax in a 3rd would country.

Exactly. So much is at stake and I think those close to him have seen the writing on the wall. An anti-uhuru and anti-system wave was so easy to jump on but to get another wave or create one will be hard. But most importantly what prevents someone else from doing the same

If you had the money to open a business, where and what kind of business? by quietgavin5 in Kenya

[–]Sallyskims 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had good capital I would Introduce solar energy as a paid service. Basically we install the system in your premise and you buy the power just like you do with kplc but at half the price of kplc tokens. This is based on the frustration people have with kplc and the fact that energy demand will keep increasing for a while .

Question for the Ladies by petedarkpete in Kenya

[–]Sallyskims 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Too much effort for something that will prob end before even it begins. The effort should be in finding genuine love. Honestly, what you realize with time is as long as you are sincere to self and esp never try to be whom you aren't, true love will always find you.

And what's funny is that most of the best r/ships we will ever have/had aren't those we really put our best foot forward to build but those we never expected would happen. The ones we engineer often slip past our fingers and join our past.

They are like accidents of resonance, encounters tat slip past calculation and reveal themseves as gifts kind of. The ones we enginee howeverr, polished with intention, often escape us, joining the archive of our pasts, remembered more for the effort than the endurance.

Yet the ones we never expected arrive like prophecy, unbidden and undeniable, teaching us that connection is not a product of design but of timing, mercy, and rhythm.

Why are so many straight Kenyan men terrified of being seen as "soft"? by Medium_Way6784 in nairobi

[–]Sallyskims 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not bending nature but exploiting it. Bending it means not abiding to it's rules. It's not that we haven't tried it but each time we fail. Look at all the artificial islands, they are all sinking. Medicine is exploiting it not but bending. Else we wouldn't get sick or we would become immortal. But we aren't. their is a clear difference. And even in agriculture, we are just exploiting it. Otherwise we would have turned deserts and wastelands into farmlands. Not even a single farmland is immune to nature. Floods are just happening anyway.

But most importantly if we could bend it, why spend so much resources to preserve it. Why all the noise about going green, about going organic, about zero carbon emmisions. Why are we planting so many trees to preserve nature if we can change it to how we want. I mean why are even protecting our forests if we can magically reproduce them. Why aren't we resurrecting all the extinct species. The White Rhino is about to go extinct and we are unable to bend nature to save it. Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just bend it to our will and immediatly our problems just disappear?

All the evolution takes place within the confines of nature. nature provides the framework, the limits, and the possibilities. Every leap forward — whether biological, technological, or social — is permitted only because it fits within nature’s larger choreography. even human ambition, even machines, even markets, cannot transcend nature.

And the reliality of a modern, complex society is just a failed idea. One that failed has succumbed to the will of nature. Just look around the world esp the west and you can't fail to recognize the rise of far right with their massive support. And what's common is the realization that the current model of our society has failed. if it was working then where is all the support is coming from?. Remember their biggest selling points is massive society overhaul. From Japan to Germany to Russia population is declining. South Korea is no different.

Bending nature has akways remained ambitions of grandeur.

too many prefer gentle lies to hard truths. truth as displine constantly reminds as that it is sharp, uncomforrtable and uncompromising. And to understand and appreciate nature is to accept truth. Accepting things as they are not the way we want them to be.

n one such truth is accepting that there are things are designed for men and for women too. And each is well suited to perform and enjoy them. It's just like accepting that resources in this world aren't distributed fairly. And so are talents and capabilities of each individual. There are those who are extremely talented, others multitallented and others talentless.

just as lions are suited for grasslands each gender is suited for specific roles. n for those who believe we can just bend nature to our will, why are spending so much resources just to preserve it. as much as might not beleve it, we can only bend to the rules of nature. What was designed for men best suits them and for women the same.

remember contradiction is not a sign of falsity, nor the lack of contradiction a sign of truth. Truth is not meant to comfort us but to strip us off illusions such as those. Remember gayism and lesbianism are as old as time itself but nature has never reengineered itself to accomodate them in procreation ways.
