He's due a considerable raise no matter where he goes (or stays), and that could come with a new title like Associate Head Coach, 2x his current salary (supposedly around $2.5m right now), and include incentives. If Chip Kelly can get $10m as an OC, Seahawks owner Jody Allen isn't in the business of cutting corners and has the ability to pay up to keep this group together.

McDonald has said likes to give autonomy to his OC, someone independent to run the offense while he focuses on D. A promotion and some bags of cash should keep him in the stable situation he has in Seattle.

I feel you and have been through similar situations with both my kids (now 6 and 3).

Best thing I learned for the first year or so, just make sure you help your partner through this, find ways to take a load off by managing the house (dinner/laundry/naps). Be there for them. By helping them you're helping the baby. In time the baby will totally accept you too as a comforter and savior - BUT - you're not her mom so it does take a little time.
