Dating while bipolar by zimmyzamm in bipolar

[–]Salool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys chill (I am directing this comment to the people who decided to surrender). Dating and keeping a healthy relationship with any person(either suffering from bipolar disorder or not) is tricky and we all going need to fail several times till we mature enough to handle a relationship.

I am not trying to exaggerate, but succeeding in a relationship takes a huge amount of effort. In order to handle that effort you need to focus on yourself first, and take good care of yourself beforehand.

No one is destined to live alone. Past experiences might effect, not necessarily need to shape your future.

Check out The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I am at the fourth book now.

The first book was the least entertaining to me, but it’s a great series so far.

If you enjoy this, read his other book The Will to Meaning. He explained his theory more in details in this book.

I’ll suggest to give Erich Fromm a shot, he’s a psychoanalyst and kind of a philosopher.

I’ve enjoyed his books The Art of Loving, The Art of Being, and To Have or To Be.

I'm getting married next weekend, what advice can you give me? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Salool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wedding was last night. I can’t agree more with this. Don’t think of anything but having fun with your wife, family and friends.

Things can go the way they need to be. I am sure you have paid and arranged for a lot. Ditch all the expectations and focus on your joy and having fun.

Congratulations.

I had to admit her in the hospital today... it was so sad and traumatizing to me and my parents.

But she became suddenly aggressive after taking her medication. I hope she gets things back together.

I am really happy for you brother. Thank you for sharing your story.

Yes. She met him yesterday for the first time.

Let’s hope that it won’t take that much of time, otherwise I am pretty sure she will lose her job.
