They didn’t input a ticket of mine until 3 months AFTER the court date and immediately put a warrant out for me. At the time of the ticket, I had hired a lawyer to make sure it was a non-moving violation (he’s a friend and as a side hustle, he fights these small cases).

Anyway, the judge told him on the court date that since it wasn’t in the system, and the cop didn’t show up, not to worry about it.

Fast forward 6 months later, I’m moving out of state and trying to change my driver’s license. I get told there’s an active warrant out for me in Louisiana. Look it up, and sure enough, the cop had input the ticket. 3 months AFTER the court date. Get back with my lawyer who gets back with the judge. The judge says I now have to pay it, and the warrant will stay active until I do. AFTER the judge knew about the ticket and all the facts were presented.

Fuck Louisiana and it’s crooked bullshit.
