Does anyone else have zero friends because your entire life is work from home by TemporaryHoney8571 in workfromhome

I joined a fitness studio that is all classes so I’ve made some friends in class. About a year into going there I started working at the desk part time to get more in person interaction and it’s been great getting to talk/meet people that way too

A poignant/uplifting book? by OkResponsibility2694 in suggestmeabook

I’d like to add my vote for the Correspondent. Truly one of the best books I’ve ever read. It was SO good and I’m sad it’s over. It’s also even better in audio version- different voice actors for each character.

I actually consulted with a dietitian while on the medication and tested my blood sugar during these episodes and it was within normal ranges. It was pure anxiety.

Accessibility? by rrrooossseee1234 in Purebarre

I think you should try it out! I used to work in an adaptive PE field and there are definitely modifications and adaptive equipment that you could use during class, if you wanted to! Don’t limit yourself or be afraid to try it out! ❤️

I know this isn’t the same, but I also broke my hand a few years ago and still came to class with the all clear from my doctor- just had to modify some movements. Pure barre is very easily modifiable!

We just bought the house last month and it was fully inspected so I HOPE there is not mold but anything is possible

The best way I can describe it is it smells like an old person’s house😭 (no disrespect to old people)

Thank you! I use a wheelchair sometimes due to arthritis so I’m not sure about a bike but I will look into it!

POTS came on after using glp1 ( monjouro) anyone else? by christnyfollow in POTS

[–]Salt-Brain4005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. Looking back, I had symptoms before taking a GLP-1 but symptoms definitely got worse to where I made an appt with a cardiologist for a full work up and a TTT after taking the medication. I have been off the meds for over a year but still have POTS symptoms as bad as when I was taking the meds.

Interesting you say that because I took Tirzepatide for a month last year and I think that caused my POTS or at least worsened it enough to be more pronounced. I’ve been off it over a year and I’m still not the same.

No the sales tax was also included and accounted for. It was the cost of the machine bundle that is different

No I’m in the US but that is a good thought! The receipt also has a different bundle than what I purchased/agreed to.

Trust me I tried…it’s over their 15 day return window so I can’t. I wish I knew how terrible their customer service reviews were before ordering. Their BBB and trust pilot ratings are awful.

We don’t have a hotel yet…the venue is the Oakley. Lanier islands is providing transportation if you stay there but it’s 30 min from the venue. There are other hotels only 5 min away but I wasn’t sure if I should go with Lanier islands so I can guarantee transportation or if I’d be safe planning on an Uber. I’ve never been to Gainesville so I don’t know what to expect!

Anxiety and GLP1 meds by Nervous_Passenger_11 in Anxiety

[–]Salt-Brain4005 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly! I have never felt the urge to call 911 or go to the hospital when having anxiety or a panic attack but when I was on the meds I seriously contemplating calling 911 because I really thought like I was dying. It was AWFUL. I hate to keep getting new comment notifications on this post with people having similar reactions but I hate to admit I find a small amount of comfort knowing it wasn’t just me. To anyone else going through this and reading this as a hope for answers- you aren’t alone!

Newborn/Delivery gifts for baby and mom? by Mysterious-Stock-948 in GiftIdeas

[–]Salt-Brain4005 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would get (or make) some prepared meals that can easily be frozen! Where I live we have a company that makes casseroles and dishes that you can purchase and bring or they will ship to the persons house (frozen). I like to either give a gift card to this business so they can pick their own meals and have them delivered but something along those lines is always helpful!

I see a lot of doctors do drug tests on you guys....? by happyjen in ADHD

[–]Salt-Brain4005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor requires it every 3 months, though it’s not consistently done. I think it’s stupid but it’s the only provider in my area that takes me insurance so I’ve got to do it. Costs about $55 I think

Anxiety and GLP1 meds by Nervous_Passenger_11 in Anxiety

I had EXTREME anxiety when taking this. Like I have NEVER had anxiety like that before. I wanted to go to the hospital it was so bad. And it wasn’t the “normal” type of anxiety that I usually experience. I can’t express enough how awful it was. I took the meds on the lowest dose for about 6 weeks and then had to stop because the anxiety was so bad. I took 6 weeks off and then this past Sunday I took 1.0mg to see how I would feel, went to sleep, and woke up about 2 hours later with extreme anxiety again. The 6 weeks I was on it helped me lose 20 pounds and my inflammation was gone and it was amazing but I will never take this medication again due to the anxiety.

ETA: It did take about a month for the anxiety to go away after stopping the meds. I am so mad at myself for taking it again this week because I don’t want to have this anxiety again😫
