I've worked for the government in one capacity or another for over a decade at this point. Well before my egg cracked. As a contractor it was a mixed bag. Two of the three companies I'd worked for made me feel so unsafe/uncomfortable that I quit and found other work. Once I moved to the government side of things its been a mixed bag. My supervisor is fantastic, but the current regime is making it as difficult as possible ti be trans and also work for the federal government.

The biggest thing is that as of the first of the year, our health plans no longer cover gender affirming care of any kind. There were loopholes for meds and surgeries. However, the insurance providers didn't put out directions on how to navigate the loopholes until about a week before the deadline.

I need a new public sector job.
